Do you eat breakfast & lunch in the same restaurant as your dinner?

A sit-down, order-off-the-menu breakfast is offered at Lumiere's (Triton's on the Wonder) each day. There is also a buffet breakfast offered daily at Topsiders (Beach Blanket Buffet on the Wonder). If you are looking for a continental breakfast you can order room service in your room.

A sit-down, order-off-the-menu lunch is offered in Lumiere's (Triton's) on each sea day. Buffet lunch is available at Topsiders (Beach Blanket Buffet) and sometimes at Parrot Cay. You can also get pizza at Pinocchio's and burgers/hot dogs/chicken strips from Plutos, both on Deck 9 by the pools. There are also lunch/dinner offerings on the room service menu.

You are free to eat breakfast and lunch at any of the open dining options that Michelemouse described. You're not assigned to any certain location or table.

If you choose one of the restaurants, you may be seated at a large table with other cruisers.

They also offer a buffet breakfast at Parrot Cay.

Just curious- how difficult is it to eat at the sit down places for breakfast and lunch? I mean is it super crowded with a long wait? I realize it's mostly a "toss up" on how many eat where for breakfast/lunch- but in your experience.... is it like always crowded to go to sitdown for breakfast and/or lunch?
We can't really do continental breakfast (that usually includes foods loaded with carbs) and would prefer a sit down lunch over the same "junk food" we can have anytime when not on the cruise.
Thanks!

I never even went to a sit down breakfast, usually went to the buffet and grabbed some fruit for me and bacon for my daughter and ate it on our verandah.....we actually never even ate lunch on the cruise either....the first day we got off the ship in Nassua, came back and had room service, second day we had lunch on our Lucayan Beach day excursion and the last day we had lunch on Castaway Cay....I will have to try to make it to a breakfast or lunch on the ship!

we do the sit-down breakfast if possible...I hate buffets, and my son likes eggs cooked to order...we did not experience any type of extra wait...I had the same thing every morning, lox and bagels, but my DH and DS like to experiment a little. The service was great, even though they weren't our regular servers, and I think those that opt for the buffet miss a chance to relax. Of course if you need to be off the ship early for an excursion, the room service breakfast works great. We did that on Castaway Cay and Grand Cayman days...my DH does the scuba diving.

We only went to Lumiere's once. It seemed to take forever with the kids & they weren't exactly patient. The Character breakfast went great but the other days we went up to Topsiders for the buffet & ate on the deck looking out at the ocean. :) It was quick & easy for us. The kids did fine at PC for lunch but we also enjoyed the same thing up on Deck 9 too. The fresh air was wonderful.

We've done both the buffet and sit down. The sit down wasn't a bad wait but then we do not have children with us now.

whenever we were in the sit down breakfasts, you could've shot a cannon through the restaurant without hitting a sole ... not crowded, ever.

Another question.... if you eat at Lumiere's for breakfast- how are you supposed to be dressed? I have read that Lumiere's (as well as Triton's and Palo ofcourse) are more "formal" than the other restaurants- even on non-formal nights... but does that apply also to breakfast? I can't imagine getting dressed up for breakfast- if that is the case... no WONDER it's not crowded there for breakfast. LOL

bibbity-
dress at Triton's (lumiere's) for the sit-down breakfast is casual - just wear what you are going to for the day - shorts, tshirts, whatever

We ate at Tritons, while we were pulling into Nassau. The service was quite prompt, we had plenty of time to eat, return to our cabin, view the sites (2 Navy Ships were docking) and then go on our tour.

We ate Breakfast at Parrot Cay on the Freeport day, and again had plenty of time.

I thought that Beach Blanket Buffet was crowded, but that was also the CC day, so I assume everyone wanted a "quick" breakfast.

I would recommend Triton.
:teeth:

I'm looking forward to having breakfast out on my verandah at least once ... having room service and/or getting some of the buffet and bringing it back sounds good... My daughter is a "late riser", so that may be an option for this early riser... I make too much noise for her, but if I bring back breakfast that may tame the Late Riser!!

Hmmm...I never even thought about what to wear to breakfast at Lumiere's.
Since I'm an early riser, and my family isn't, our breakfast choices vary. Normally, I enjoy coffee and danish on deck 9 at 6:30 followed by relaxing in the hot tub and a walk around the ship. By 7:30 I'm ready for Lumiere's. I've found the dress to be VERY casual. By 9am my family is ready for b'fast at topsiders. We've also tried morning room service on port days.

We never made it to a sit-down breakfast! Too much to do on a 4-day cruise. The Parrot Cay buffet was MUCH nicer for our family than Beach Blanket B. (we did both)The atmosphere was great. Sitting with other crusiers beat the heck out of hunting for a seat at BBB. You can get some items made to order. The waiter brought me a toasted bagel too :-)

We did Triton's for lunch. YUMMMMMMMYYY. We had steaks, pasta, and my DS had some fancy fish.

Sigh....was it only a year ago we were at Disney for Christmas??

we ate the sit down breakfast at Tritons every morning...
we simply enjoy being served breakfast rather than eating buffet style....
by the way, you can also eat as much as you want at the sit down breakfast so if you're worried about being able to eat mass quantities of food, no worries...
to give you an idea of how much my family ate for breakfast every morning at Tritons:
-- every morning my husband ordered two servings of the bagel lox and cream cheese, two orders of cereal, two orders of eggs (he's 6' 7" tall and is very very thin and eats like this all the time...don't you just hate him...)
-- every morning my son ordered one serving of bagel lox and cream cheese, one serving of cereal, an order of waffles
-- my daugther ordered the same as my son (they're also very tall, very thin and eat a TON......pretty hateable too)...

as for me, all i had was one egg and several cups of coffee....i'm short and fat and gain weight just watching the other 3 eat...

anyway....just know that you can order lots of food at tritons too....so if you're eating at the buffet just to be able to eat a lot, you can also do the sit down breakfast at tritons...

Hi,

I've been reading this thread with interest, but can someone please tell me...what is lox?

Do we have a different name for it here in the UK?

I've still got a lot to learn.

You can wear anything except a swimsuit or bathrobe to breakfast and lunch. Most people wear t-shirts and shorts. It doesn't matter which restaurant...Lumiere's, Parrot Cay are both totally casual. There is no set time for breakfast or lunch seating. THe restaurant hours are in the navigator. You can go any time during those hours. We've never (except on the maiden voyage) had to wait more than maybe 1 1/2 minutes for seating. How fast the service might be depends on the server. SOme are much faster than others...

You do not have a breakfast or lunch assignment. You eat where and when you want. Room service, buffet, fruit station, pizza or burgers on deck 9, or restaurants....take your pick.

i'm not sure what you call lox in the UK, but i'm guessing you call it smoked salmon.....

(no accounting for what you call things....i have the joy of living only around brits.....i've had to get with the program and realize they're not calling me stupid when they say 'dummy' (as in pacifier).....and they're not casting aspersions on my sexuality when they offer me a fairy cake......and they're not casting aspersions on my husband's sexuality when they suggest i buy him a jumper......and so many more.....like fringe instead of bangs.....and ice lollies for popsicles....
of course my children had a hell of a time in school when there was a picture of a truck...and they wrote truck....and got it wrong...
silly them.....little did they know it was a lorry...

oh...and then of course there's my fanny pack.....but that's another story......
