Where do you (Canadians) buy your tickets to WDW?

This is our first trip to WDW. I was planning to buy our park tickets from the Disney Website. Is this the best place? The guidebook I was reading suggested buying from the Disney store in Canada. Where do you buy yours?

We bought our tickets from Maple Leaf Tickets, in Kissimmee. You can pre-order and they will deliver to Canada or pick them up at their office. Many people also use Tickemania in Orlando. Both of these companies are reputable and have lower prices than Disney or CAA.

Have a wonderful trip
:earsgirl: :cool1:

We've purchased them at the Cdn disney stores and purchased our ap's right at disney. If you buy them from the disney store figure out the exchange rate first though as sometimes it's better just to purchase them in US dollars.

I am not sure if you just need theme park tickets but we booked our entire Disney trip (for this August 21-30) through Dreams Unlimited Travel (no extra cost--Disney pays them the comission). It is amazing they did all the legwork for us booking all our priority seating (including getting us CRT--our agent was on hold for two hours to get this--which saved us the time) and always checked for deals (we got the free dining before it went public). They also arrange an itinerary for you so you know the best parks to go to and all the times of the special shows and parades. They arrange your theme park tickets, accomodations and Magical Express (though not airfare we did that ourselves) and even arrange for some extra special pixie dust for our daughter who will be celebrating her birthday when wer'e down. I'd highly recommend them!! :cool1: :cheer2:

We purchase ours at the Disney Store at Fairview Mall (in Toronto). Only takes a couple of days (for them to order them and get them in the store)and we get our vouchers in our hands. We bought them last fall before the prices went up and the Canadian dollar was higher. A nice added feature is that buying them up here, we don't pay any taxes on them (no PST, no GST and no Fla state tax).

I purchased mine from Ticketmania.com and highly recommend it. The prices for a base 7-day MYW ticket was cheaper than the price for a five-day at the Disney Store in Canada. That's after the exchange and credit card charges, and I bought when the dollar was lower (79 cents). They have free shipping and all taxes are included, and if you subscribe to the mousesavers newsletter, there's a link for a few more dollars off. The tickets shipped in 9 business days (they say 2-3 weeks) -- I couldn't be happier with the service :flower:

Has anyone used discount orlando tickets? they seem to have the best price right now.

I use whichever reputable company has the best price at the time I'm looking to buy. Last time it was Ticketmania. The time before it was at the Disney Store when they had the buy 1, get 1 half price for Canadians. Those were the days!

Myst

Hi, I've used both the Disney Store and the WDW website to purchase tickets. You really have to know what the exchange rates are for the day you purchase.
The Disney Stores ended up being cheaper only because we didn't have to pay any extra to have the tickets cheaper.
Before you purchase tickets on the WDW site check with your credit card company to see what their exchanges rates are for the day. As credit card company's rates are usually a bit more then your banks rates.

Hope that helps!!

 No taxes ? Really? Wow that's terrific! :Pinkbounc When you say vouchers, are you referring to the AP's? I found a Disney store only an hour or two away from me, and am thinking of purchasing tickets here before we go. On the other hand, I was wondering if it is better to purchase AP's in Downtown Disney? Any suggestions, anyone?
:teeth: I've never had so many choices in my life! All these (fun) decisions to make. :rotfl2: I don't know if I'm excited about going to Disney or if I'm excited over shopping and planning to get there.

They only have a few MYW pass configurations available at the Disney Store in Canada. I don't think you can order APs here, but I could be wrong.

Be careful with the concept of no taxes -- they're just hidden in the cost. Disney Canada offers their passes at a set exchange rate which lately has been quite low compared to the dollar. (I think it's 75 cents on the US dollar) I looked into comparing the prices of the store versus CAA, versus Ticketmania, versus Disney etc. and found that the only time it was worthwhile to purchase from DisneyCanada was if you were buying a hopper pass. They charge you $35 Cdn for this upgrade to the base pass -- in the US it's $35 US.

Otherwise, I used Ticketmania last month when the dollar was lower than now (at 78 cents) and even so a 7-day MYW base pass came to $250.12 Cdn (after Visa charges) -- no "taxes", no delivery charge. That ended up being cheaper than a 5-day MYW base pass at the Disney Store in Canada.

I've created a web page that compares the prices of the 3 before mentioned ticket resellers. This also includes Disney gate price.

Here is the URL

We bought ours through CAA. We did the whole package thing and it was a lot cheaper than through Disney. I like the idea of talking to a real person-and the same peson each time.

I think setting up a comparison page is a fantastic idea. Thanks!

I want to order shortly from Ticketmania for our trip next month (leaving August 15th) Can anyone who has ordered from them and has had them sent regular international mail tell me how long they took to arrive? Is 11-16 business days a real maximum? Can customs hold the tickets? We had some dreadful experiences with ebay deliveries at Christmas.

Great Chart!

Thanks for all your hard work

We are interested in the 10 days passes but just wondering if you made a mistake on the magic plus passes.

I somehow thought you would get 5 extra admissions to the water parks if you purchased the 10 day.

I am so confused with all these options!

Ours were delivered in exactly 9 business days. I had a lot of time, but I was curious so I kept track :earboy2:
