Where do we get water?

We are staying at BC during the dog days, and would like to have a steady supply of water available to us in the parks. I have read posts where people suggest freezing bottles of water, and it seems like a great idea. However, while I would like to have a couple of cases of bottled water available to us during our stay, taking a taxi to the nearby Publix would not be cost effective.

Anybody have any ideas?

I have heard some people order it from Staples, but I have never done that.

There is a Hess Station near the Boardwalk where you could buy some water. It is probably about a 15-20 minute walk from the Beach Club. Just go out the front door of the Boardwalk, and go to the left at the bus stop or by the convention center. Walk out to the street, and cross the street. You'll see the station ahead, and slightly to the right.

We had water shipped to our resort from staples. It should arrive today and we will arrive on Saturday. Its pretty cost efficient. 24 bottles of water for 7.00 is about .30 . In the parks or at your resort it will be anywhere from 2.00 to 3.00 per bottle.

if you don't mind the florida taste to the water, any counter service location will give ya a big cup of ice water if ya ask.

We have used Gardengrocer.com and wegoshop.com to buy cases of water, juice, snacks, fruit and breakfast items, sunscreen. I don't know what their current delivery fee is but it's nice to have them deliver the things you need and not worry about finding a store to get them, and I have no doubt it is less than a taxi charge. Both services are very reliable.

We've ordered from both Staples and Costco. Costco does not charge a shipping fee and you do not have to be a member to buy it from them. We ordered online and had it shipped to our hotel a few days before we arrived. It worked out great both times.

I just placed our GardenGrocer order for end of July and the delivery charge was $12. This was for a $100 order including 2 cases of water, diapers, snacks.

We bring nalgeans(sp?) and fill them up with the tap water and put crystal light packets in it...Works great and is very cheap!

We've used staples delivery for the past 4 trips. If you are a member or spend so much, it is free delivery. I may have to look into costco this year if staples will be charging to deliver.

We've been happy with Garden Grocer www.gardengrocer.com because we get water, a few juice boxes, and some fresh fruit.

I prefer using a refillable bottle myself. i don't like to be weighed down with extra water bottles when I enter the parks, so I just refill mine whenever it gets low - often at CS places, where they will also fill it with ice for me.

I don't care for the taste of the water at WDW, so my choice of bottle is a Brita Fill and Go bottle with a replacable filter in the top. These were discontinued some years ago, but there are currently available bottles and filters from another company that do the same thing. The company name is banned from the DIS for some reason, so PM me for the name and web address. NOTE: I have never tried one of these, since I still have a large supply of Brita bottles and filters, but they look comparable to my Britas in every respect.

I just googled it and it is seems to be available at http://www.brita.net/fillgo_details.html?L=&p_id=136&cat=, though maybe not in the US. I went to ebay and saw one for which the bidding was presently at 18.50.

I've never done it but I've read on here about people taking WDW bus to DownTown Disney and walking to the Hess gas station across the road and buying bottled water there.

This sounds like such a great service. We are going late July, early August. So if I order from one of these services, I just give them our arrival dates, and they have it delivered that day? I have been coming to Disney for years, and never knew about this service, and I hate the taste of Disney water. Thanks for any info.

If I understood correctly someone said that their water was going to arrive before they did. Disney hotels do not mind holding your water till you arrive?

My wife and I just carried water bottles with us. We would stop and fill it up at drinking fountains in the parks. If she wanted really cold water then she would ask for some ice at a counter service location. The water bottle fit comfortably in our backpack.
