Where do I buy an Apple gift card, so confusing?

So because the EarPods Pro are completely sold out everywhere, I want to give my husband a gift card for them for Christmas. But all I'm seeing are the "Apple iTunes and app" gift cards. But all I want is strictly a store one. But don't want to go all the way to the mall for it, just want to go to a Walmart, CVS kind of store with gift cards. Is there an Apple store gift card by itself?

Those are different. If OP wants an Apple Store giftcard, she'll have to order it online or go to the mall.

Do you have an Apple Store in your area? I put an Apple Gift Card in my cart and it said “Order by 9am and receive tomorrow, free delivery.” You would have to be home to sign for it. I have four Apple Stores in my area so YMMV on availability. If they don’t have delivery I believe they have free 2 day shipping. Otherwise you’re going to have to go get one if you don’t want a digital delivery.

You haven’t been able to get Apple Store cards there for awhile. While you can use an Apple Gift Card for anything Apple you can’t use an iTunes or Apple Music card for physical Apple products.

FWIW I couldn’t find the physical PS4 Plus membership on sale anywhere for my son. If I wanted the sale I had to buy digital. I’m going to make my own card for him and print it out on 4x6 photo paper. It will spend the same as a physical card.

Ok, so what's the difference if she gives him a gift card to buy them (in January) or she orders them and they don't come in until early January? He still gets them at the same time. LOL

Well it would either be a gift card to buy something that wouldn't come in till sometime in January, or a card saying "I bought these for you, they won't be here until sometime in January".
He'd essentially still be opening the same thing - a gift card for the airpods that he'd have to order, or a order stating they are on the way in about a month.

I've been known to wrap a picture of the item that is coming late or that was gotten in advance.

I wrapped "trip to Disneyland" this way too.
