Where did you meet your Spouse or Partner?

I answered work. We met when we were both in the Armed Forces Reserve. I was a Logistics Officer in a Field Artillery Regiment and he was a Corporal in the Service Battalion. We were both on our way down to Fort Lewis in Washington on exercise and saw each other in different trucks on the highway. He smiled at me and I was lost. A few months later we were together and have been ever since. It will be 19 years in February. Married for 16.

I meet him Thur my sister. He hung out with a bunch of Coastie's she hung out with. We dated on and off for three yrs. Hooked back up 4yrs later and got married 6mths later. Good thing is next unit was up in Washgtion.

He sat in front me in 11th grade alegbra-i thought he was a jerk-four years later when i was between my junior and senior years of college my best friend was dating his and we wound up together in a bar one night just hanging out. we are still hanging out-11 grade was 32 years ago-hanging out in the bar was 28 years ago-and we have been married for 26.

In a bar, but through some friends.. My roommate and I went out for a co-workers b-day.. He was there with another co-worker... He asked me to dance, and that was it! We were married 2 years later. that was 5 years ago. It seems like much longer though.

i was in high school, and i had a friend who worked with him, and i'd seen him around several times before i ever spoke to him the first time and learned his name. then one day a few mutual friends (including he and myself) were at mcdonalds right before christmas, and i got his phone number. we talked non stop for days, and on dec. 26 we went on our first date. and no our anniversary is in a few weeks.

We grew up in the same neighborhood. My big brother was friends with my now DH. They were told by both moms that I needed to get invited over too. DH was my first crush, and I was his. He left for the AF about 10 years later, I joined up as well. He got stationed here at Meade, and I was out on medical discharge and living with my dad in WV. He came up to see me and my brother, we got to talking and realized we were both still really interested in eachother. I moved in with him, started going to school, and then he asked me to marry him. Pretty simple

I love stories like that. My grandparents met in 3rd grade, and my grandpa told my grandma he was going to marry her then. They never dated anyone else, and married out of high school. They are coming up on their 53rd anniversary. Sometimes it just happens. My DD10 has had the same crush since the first day of first grade, and though it is very unlikely, they would have a great story to tell their kids if it ever did happen someday.

My husband's cousin introduced us at a bar. Feb. 15th, 2010 will be the 30th anniversary of the night we met. Dec. 26th marks our 28th wedding anniversary.

I was good friends with this guy - "Rob." Rob had a roommate who I didn't know. One night Rob called me and invited to come out to a bar where some of our buddies were. I almost didn't go because there was some show on TV that I wanted to watch. But I went, and Rob's roommate was there...we sat next to each other, talked all night, and the rest was history.

Now, he's *my* roommate...and my best friend, and husband.

We've been married for four years, together for almost seven.
