Bought direct at AKV in 2009. I actually asked a question on line and the "chat" person asked if a guide could call us... so in about 15 minutes he did and we purchased our points. This was on a Saturday. We received the paperwork the following Tuesday, had them notarized, and mailed back on Wednesday. DVC had them on Friday.

Our guide also helped us get our first reservation. We had already paid for a trip in Oct. We purchased in June. He cancelled that reservation and got us savanna view at Kidani. We thought we were special....nope, but the guides now how to use those "perks" to their advantage. Live and learn. We both love having DVC but I would buy resale if we add on.
