"Where did y'all get those shirts?" Fried, Tie-Dyed, and Places Mickey Hides.

knock knock knock...

zzzzzzz.........hmmm?

I get up and run to the door...Mousekeeping. I had forgotten to put the do not disturb tag in our keyslot...so she was here to see about cleaning our room...I tell her to come back later.

I go and look at my watch...10:15

Let's see today is Epcot and it's been open for an hour...oh well...Soarin' is probably shot...but I have a plan...and it's another EMH night...Mid-night. :thumbsup2

I get ready 1st again so I won't be in the way...then I wake everyone else up...though they are just half asleep now.

We elect to drive again because: A) it will be another late night. B) we want to park at the MK and ride the monorail to Epcot (surprise for Boy...he wanted to do this...but then so did I).

By the time everyone is ready...it's lunch time...and we head to El Centro to eat at the Pepper Market. They have a great selection. I get the Chicken and Mushrooms, Mel and Boy got a burger, Tiny got Pizza. For lunch you get 1 Entree Combo, 1 Drink, and a Dessert...Plus we brought our Mugs and had them filled too. This bill totaled close to $60 bucks...DDP 4 Credits. :thumbsup2

And on the Way out we top off our mugs a Rix...and Mel of course stops in Panchitos to pick up our packages.

Then we are off to park at the MK. Boy is a stickler for details...Mel and I are from the Generation that the Magic Kingdom WAS Disney World...the TTC is the Monorail Station...and when I call them these thing it drives Boy crazy...so I feel like messing with him this Morning...ummm...afternoon. Tiny plays along instantly. We pull out of the CSR and head toward World Drive...and I say..."I'm going to Park at Disney World"...Boy growls..."and go to the Monorail Station?" says Tiny. "Yes...the Monorail Station."

"It's the Magic Kingdom...and the Ticket and Transportation Center." grumbles Boy. Then it hits him..."Are we going to Ride the Monorail to Epcot?"

Yes...

Then it hits Tiny..."isn't that where the wreck was?" Oh boy.

Yes...but I've told you 38 years...accident free...during a track switch...not going to happen again. Monorails are safe.

So this time we get to park near the Tram end...the lot across from Pluto...can't remember the name though? Donald I think? The tram is there and we are ready to roll.

We get the Gold Monorail...we pass Orange on the way there...this is a nice Ride...I had never done it and always wanted to. Boy seemed to be enjoying it...watching the traffic on World Drive. Finally we get there. Mel had to get her backpack checked...but I gather all the Tickets to make a mad dash to Soarin'...just incase...it's currently 12 something...and plan to meet them at Mousegears...Mel's Destination #1. When I come out the other side of the Inoventions I see the Info Board...Soarin' 120minute wait Fastpass are all distributed...about face...Test Track...I get to test Track and get some FP's for about 4:30...cool. I get into Mousgears...and this place is hopping. I find Mel at the Watch Counter...and take the kids to look at stuff they may want to see in the store. We get done...and now it's time for my secret weapon for the day...which turned out to be more powerful than I thought.

VIP's for the Day!!!

Great updates. I love EMH at the Magic Kingdom, but they do make early mornings hard. We didn't ride the monorail once on our last trip, and my son really wanted to. Riding the monorail will be a top priority on our next trip. I can't wait to see how your Epcot day turned out.

I think I said it in a previous Update...the Monorail is an attraction to us...and we just gotta ride one at some point.

You can't stop now. We must know what happens next.
Sorry...slipped this little bit in while I had a test running here at work.

More tomorrow...maybe.

10:15 and still asleep? I'da been sick even if we had been out 'til 3 a.m. :upsidedow We've never had that opportunity though...

There is also the stealth fart method of retaliation. :lmao:

The quickest way to the Disney Store at our local mall is to park in the Boston Store parking lot and go in through there. The worst part about this is you have to walk right through their perfume displays. They always have at least 3 or 4 people waiting to spray you with samples, and the place just stinks.
This past weekend I crop dusted that whole area and left the store grinning like the Cheshire Cat.:rotfl:

Yes I know, I never really left 5th grade.

Great updates!!!

How busy was MK leading up to the EMH? Having a 3.. well 2 at the time... year old, staying at the park past 10 is pushing it. Especially if we want her to function the next day! LOL

Great update Trennr. We've done the 3:00am thing before (MK was actually open until 4:00am, but we didn't make it). We also had a late arrival at Epcot the next day.

:lmao: Picking on the DS. My DS gets mad when I call Wal-Mart WallyWold.

Love the monorail ride to Epcot. Going through Futureworld is a great trip. I love to watch the looks on the faces that obviously haven't been there before.

I love riding the monorail to Epcot.
We did too...a must do from now on.

I call this section at the Belks store in our area the "Stank Water and War Paint" section.

Great updates!!!

Park starts to empty out after the first parade...even more after Wishes...after the 2nd parade...pretty much just Resort guest and a few others.

Boy doesn't mind Wally World. :confused3
Nether does Mickey-D's?
There's a fart thread? :rotfl2:

I'm with trennr: There's a fart thread!? I must find this utopian message board! My homeland awaits!

I call this section at the Belks store in our area the "Stank Water and War Paint" section.

THIS is my new favorite quote, and will be applied liberally in ever fancy-pants department store I am forced to venture into.

OK we leave Mousegears finally and head to this place...

But first...let step back a little...remember I said in my introductions that I was an Electronics Engineering Technician...well I forgot to mention that I work for this little German company that just so happens to sponsor a certain attraction at Epcot...we also sponsor a certian fireworks show in the evenings here too...yep SIEMENS...when the Germans can't figure it out they turn to good ol'fasshioned Hillbilly know how...so here we sit in Johnson City, TN...part of the European equivillant to GE.

I remember back November 4, 2005...it was a great day...my dad's Birthday...I'm sitting at work and get a broadcast e-mail from the CEO of Siemens Energy and Automation George Nolan...this was some of the best news I had ever gotten via e-mail Siemens had signed a Partenership with Disney. :woohoo:

As a Siemens employee we have access to a selection of discount tickets...occationally we get special offer...and every year since Siemens has had sweepstakes for Disney Cruises. (Sadly I haven't won yet...but I'm hoping.) Didn't get any discount tickets for this trip as the deal I was getting from Disney was good enough.

Then in April of 2007 they announce that Siemens has opened a VIP Center at the back of Spacship Earth called BASE 21...this is our destination...
IMG_0192.jpg

Oh man this place is sweet! First off to get in I was issued a PIN to punch in to access the entrance. Once we go up the steps (there's an elevator too) we are greeted by the Manager of the facillity Jim...who was seated at the desk in the Picture above. Jim was lonely as there was no one else up there...we had the place to ourselves. :woohoo:

Base 21 is Huge and is directly above Project Tomorrow the Spaceship Earth exit show and interactive center...anyway Jim tells us about Base 21 and tells us to have a look around...so we do...after we get us a Coke or 2.

This is the event room...used for large meetings or a dining hall.
IMG_0202.jpg

This was the briefing room...used for smaller scale meetings...
IMG_0205.jpg

This was the Hall leading through the event room back to the entrance...note the colors here anf in the Event room...the would gradualy shift colors...
IMG_0204.jpg

I asked jim if he would take a picture of us...so i could prove I was here to the guys at work...
IMG_0194.jpg

Mel and Boy sit down at a table in the event hall...she's still pretty tried from yesterday...Tiny and I head back to the main lobby to play with some interactive stuff.

This was call the Magic mirror which uses facial recognition (like used in the Spaceship Earth new interactive features) then applies an comical overlay...Tiny the Pirate...arrrg! pirate:
IMG_0212.jpg

This is a wall that uses smart glass technology and presents a informational story about Siemens...

Opaque...
IMG_0213.jpg

Clear...
IMG_0214.jpg

While i was fooling with that there's even another giant wall with a huge touch screen display...tons of info about Siemens...and we can also download a picture and store our location info...so others can see who's been here...I put up a Picture I had someone take of us this morning at El Centro...which I forgot to mention earlier...
IMG_0215.jpg

We've seen enough...drank enough Coke to kill a mule...and then Jim ask us what rides we liked at Epcot...Soarin' was first out of everyone's lips...Jim says...how about Test Track...that's our other Favorite...then he hands me this little beauty...:woohoo:...turn out to be Golden...just like its color...
IMG_0530.jpg

Jim also give us some Panchos, and a handful of little key-ring hand sanitizer sprays...We love free stuff!!!

Then he leads us to the exit which is where we get to get on Spaceship Earth with no line!!!
IMG_0216.jpg

Tiny and I ride together...Mel and Boy...sorry no pictures of the ride...Mickey's...there's a scene of a library and Monks...seems like there are some scrolls that form a Hidden Mickey...and near the end there an old 1970's car on the left...there's a Mickey Sticker on the Window...I liked how Siemens and the Imagineers took the same scenes and made a new storyline...the new interactive screens in the rides are fun too...makes that long journey back less boring...I was going to post Mine and Tiny's Post Card from the Future...but I lost the link.

We go down to Project tomorrow and send our postcards to our email address...all the other activities are too crowded so we leave...

Next Episode...
