Where did we put them?

My dh and I seemed to have misplaced our annual passes. Yep! We put them in that infamous "safe place" and now we can't remember what that safe place was. So, if you were a set of annual passes and you were sitting in a "safe place" where would you be? We don't have a safe (although at this point I'm threatening to get one so we don't go through this again) and our usual "safe places" are turning up empty. We *know* we brought them home. We remember putting them *somewhere* we just can't remember where that "somewhere" is. We have until January to search for them, but we would hate to have to rebuy tickets because we were ditzy enough to forget where we put them to begin with. ARG!

First, let me assure you, you won't have to buy new passes. I managed to leave ours at home one trip and I was able to get new passes issued at guest relations at DD. The CMs were not the most helpful but after a couple of hours, they did get new ones printed. They have to go into their records and find you, and get the necessary info to print new passes. Unfortunately, their system seems illogical to me, because they are not in any order (like when they were activated) but just by last name. Unfortunately, I have a very common last name and so they had to go through the entire list of anyone with my name who has EVER had one (or so they told me) so that was the delay. But, like I said, they finally found us in the computer, printed new passes, and we were on our way. (Boy did I feel STUPID!) As far as keeping them in a safe place at home, I keep mine with my WDW backpack and stuff I always take to WDW. Could you have put them with that stuff? I actually bought little black leather cases at the Disney store a few years back that are perfect AP holders so I store my passes in those, inside the packpack. (That's how I ended up leaving them at home - I have several backpacks and since it was a mother/daughter trip, I didn't take all of them, and of course, the one I packed was the one that didn't have the APs in it. ) Good Luck looking for yours!

They *are* replaceable? I thought I had read that they weren't. Hmmm. May have to look into that. We have Florida Annual Season Passes. I wonder if there is a difference? I know the date, but I can't remember what last name they put on my pass. It was either my maiden (not common) or my married (more common). I actually use both legally (non-hyphenated) so sometimes it comes out with both and sometimes just one. The kids' would have my dh's last name on them though.

Thanks for the reply. We are still looking. We also thought maybe in my dh's fanny pack, but that turned up fruitless as well. We did have a reciept from our last trip however.

Still looking!

My parents also misplaced their unused tickets from FEb 1996. They tore their house apart and have still never found them. Now thats a good safe hiding place.

Just wanted to let you all know we found them. And we are *very* embarrassed. Seems as though the safe place that we chose was, um, well, uh, in our file box of important papers, like life insurance, social security cards, birth certificates. We were thinking on top of the refrigerator, in the medicine box, hidden in a book and all along we had actually done something smart and put them in the best place. Can't believe we didn't think there first!

Thanks for the information though. Hey, could your parents have done something really smart like put them in a safe deposit box? :-)
