Thursday morning, no one stirring, I got up, got ready, and took my mug down to the food court. Filled it up, bought beignets and tried to conserve the powdered sugar during walk back to room.
This time DW was awake, anticipating the beignets.
With the kids up and ready, we drove over to MGM. Entered gates and headed straight over to Playhouse Disney. Luckily, we were some of the last people to enter, so we were able to get on the back row in the middle. Show was cute. When it ended, all "heck" broke loose. We were planning, along with everyone else, to head over to The Little Mermaid Voyage. Sometimes, other parents scare me. We were in the minority of families that walked over to The Little Mermaid Voyage. Everyone else ran with no regard for the human lives of those around them. We merely walked over to the Fast Pass machine and it spit them out for the very next show. So while those people who ran over people to get to the show stood in line in close quarters, we walked up to the Fast Pass entrance and got in the same show.
I had forgotten that you get sprayed with water during the show. Bo Bo did not care for this at all. Knucklehead loved it.
From the Mermaid we headed over to where Knucklehead's (I mean, MY) obsession with pins began, "the big hat". He found one of Space Mountain, and I found a cool one of Stitch holding the frog from the movie.
Then DW and I did the baby swap for the Rockin' Roller Coaster. Love that ride! DW regrets that we didn't do it more than once.
When I got off, I was met by Knucklehead who decided that he wanted to ride Tower of Terror. Sure, why not? I can't believe there is a 48" height restriction for Triceratops Spin and only 44" for TOT. I was so proud of Knucklehead for riding such a scary ride. DW won't go near it. Some people just don't like the feeling of free-falling. Knucklehead is not one of those people. He was scared to death of the Twilight Zone/Haunted House part of the ride, not the drop(s).
When he first mentioned it, I fully expected him to chicken out before he got on the elevator. But since he toughed it out, I bought him some kind of green strobe light pen thing on a key chain.
Next stop, lunch at Sci-Fi Dine in Theatre. We sat at a car. Loved it. I got the ribs, DW ate the Flat Iron Steak Sandwich and Knucklehead had the Corn Dog. Bo Bo was acting up, so DW took him to the Baby Care Center. Did I mention he wasn't feeling well? Knucklehead and I stayed behind and had dessert, Cheesecake, delicious!
We showed up at the Baby Care Center after lunch and were asked by a CM there if he could help us.
"Uh, I'm looking for my wife and son," I said trying to hide the panic as it didn't look like they were in this place. It was too quiet and seemingly deserted. And if they weren't here, where were they? I hope nothing happened.
"Ah, the wives are in there."
I can't remember why, but DW decided to ride the bus over to Blizzard Beach while Knucklehead and I drove. I think it had something to do with the Tram ride and then walk to the Suburban. Diamond Parking was not very close at MGM either.
And here is one of the many reasons I am glad that we have boys. After the ride to the area of the parking lot where the car is parked, and the walk over to it, Knucklehead pipes up and says, "I've got to go pee."
What would you have done?
