Now that I snagged on of the $97.98 DS Lites at Amazon, where can I find DS games for a good deal? My DD is mosty interested in the Imagine ones or pet ones.
Also, do you recommend any other DS games for someone that likes fashion, interior design and dogs?
Thanks! :)

Can't help with the game recommendations, but for price I recommend trying Gamestop. Right now the used games are buy 2 get 1 free and the selection at my store was pretty good. Just look for the yellow label.

I snagged icarly and Hannah Montana for $17 with the Black Friday specials on amazon.com. Target had the same deal this morning.

I agree with GameStop though. That is a good deal.

Probably no one is responding because there don't seem to be any good deals out there......:confused3

I have been looking for several on the wishlist. It looks to me like the stores are only advertising the slow selling games. The Mario games, for instance, sell really well, so they never lower the prices on those.

Amazon has a few on sale, but none that I can recommend.

I'm going to keep watching, hoping for Target to do a sale before Christmas.

Imagine Family Doctor $9.99

My dd is 10 and she loves Nintendogs and many in the Imagine series.

ETA: I bought the above from Amazon yesterday for the same price. I'd recommend to keep checking Amazon. I think they might have one or two today as part of their black friday (week) deals. Good luck!

omg no way i looked and it was still 129.99 WTG

I went to Gamestop this morning. Only the preowned games were Buy 2 Get 1 - which I did get because they are for my kids and they really don't care about preowned or new.

I also got a few deals on Amazon too. Keep checking their daily deals on games - several times a day they have some good ones. :)

You have to keep an eye on their Black Friday Deals page. They have been offering a different color ds every day for that price but only for a limited time.

Costco has some for 9.99 (ones marked 14.99, less an instant $5 rebate). I don't know if they are great games, but will get us started. Cooking Mama was one of them, Mario was not.

I get most of my games from Amazon. I put the ones I want in my cart and just check it everyday for them to go down. Amazon has good deals on the Imagine games pretty often. I've gotten them for as low at $9.99 and $14.99. Toys R Us runs B1G1 free on Imagine games from time to time too. Don't know if they will do another one of those though before Christmas. My nieces both love the Imagine games and there is a new series out for the fashion minded. It's called Charm Girls Club. There is a fashion show one and a fashion mall game. Both look pretty good. Another is Style Savvy, it's new and both my nieces want it for Christmas.

Walmart.com has some games that are 2 for $20 and 2 for $30. There were some Imagine games there.

Yesterday I just happened to be here on the Budget Board asking about the DS, when someone told me they were on sale at Amazon, but only for 30 minutes or so. I just lucked out! So glad I didn't have to try and fight the crowds at Walmart to get one!

Is Cooking Mama fun? I found it at our K-Mart for $14.99 and got that one for my 10 year old DD. I know she's played in on the Wii at a friend's house. It wasn't on her list, but hope she'll like it!

Another question I have, do I need some kind of charger for the DS? Does it run on batteries? What else would I need to buy?
Thanks again everyone for all the help!:goodvibes

In about 40 minutes more ds games are going on sale at amazon.com. It is on page 13 on mine under the Black Friday Special section. I think it is going to be the cooking one.

It comes with a home (wall) charger, although you can purchase a car one separately if you think she'll need it. You didn't say how old your DD is, you might want to look into a protective case like Nerf Armor in case it gets dropped. We also have screen protectors on ours to help keep the screens from getting scratched, and you may want to invest in extra styluses (those silly things run away I swear). You may also want to charge it before you wrap it so it's ready to go when she opens it on Christmas morning. :goodvibes

Thanks! :goodvibes Good to know that it comes with a charger. My DD is 10, we will be getting some kind of case, not sure which one though. I had heard about those screen protectors, I'll probably get those too!
