Where can I donate unused tix?

I have about 8 tickets that are going to expire 12-31-04, given to me by a company. I would like to donate them to a kids charity. Any ideas of who I can send them to ?

I will only donate them to charity, nothing else. PLEASE DON'T EMAIL ME TO BUY THESE. Thanks!

What about Make a Wish or Give Kids the World? If I recall correctly GKTW is in the Orlando area and sends lots of deserving children to WDW and the surrounding parks. A quick goggle search should give you the phone number.

There was a recent post from someone working with disabled or troubled teens in the area and taking a deserving group to MSSHP you can try searching for that thread and contacting the OP for info on her service.

Given the short timeframe I think focusing on Orlando and or FL based charities would be best as they would be most likely to usue them quickly.

Nice Idea - my dh's company always donates the unused FF miles back to charity at the end of the year.

I agree with tmj. I would contact GKTW or MAW they are two organizations that send lots of special children to WDW.
GKTW is located in Orlando (or close by) and was also recently hit by the hurricanes. If you go to the DisAbility board, I am sure you can find the address and contact info. there.

Not too long ago, I was helping a friend apply to an organization to help make her husband's final wish come true. I noticed that the organization's paperwork stated that they rely heavily on donations of frequent flyer miles, tickets, cash, etc. I would imagine Gives Kids the World and Make-A-Wish work the same way and would be very grateful to receive these tickets to help someone's wish come true. Try contacting them and see if they are in need of them (I'm positive they would be). They are planning constantly and I don't think they would have a problem using the tickets by the end of the year. I think that is a wonderful thing to do with your tickets.

Well I ended up mailing them to Make A Wish of Tampa/Sarasota. Boy was it tempting to put them on ebay! But I feel so good giving them to someone who will have a ball with them. Everyone have a great holiday season! Thanks so much for your posts, especially the last one...It meant alot!

Just wanted to give you all an update on this...hopefully it will inspire you to do the same thing with FF miles, tix, or whatever...Got this email from MAW today...

Marilyn received the tickets, and has given them to a young lady whose
wish to go to Colorado had to be postponed because her Dr. said that she is
not well enough to travel yet. The mother was very depressed because they
were looking forward to their trip in December, and she didn't know what
she'd do to cheer up her daughter and her other children this holiday season.
So now they can spend a day as a family at Walt Disney World! Thank you so
much! I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
