I've got a friend who is taking her four year old to Disney World in June for their first trip. I want to get her an inexpensive lanyard and a few pins. I was thinking ebay, but from searching, I'm not finding much, and I can't really find inexpensive. Can someone please fill me in on where the cheapest place to get those would be? And also, on buying pins on ebay, are they good as long as I can find them on pin pics?

I have an extra lanyard that we don't plan on using...here's a image from Pinpics of it...PM me if you would like it sent to someone special.

I know that the parks sell some pin trading starter kits with lanyards and pins. I've seen Mickey ones and princess ones.

you can also check out ebay

I know you said that you didn't find a lot of lanyards on E-Bay HOWEVER, if you scroll through the pin pages, you'll run into a few lanyards and even some starter sets :thumbsup2

I got DS a Toy Story one that came with 1 pin and I was bidding on this Cinderella/Ariel set for DD but it was out of package so when I got outbid, I just bought a brand new one (all Princesses) for around the same price.

Here's a link under the Disney Lanyard Sets search:

But if you go under Disney pins you might find some sets that start at much lower prices.

Thanks for all of the leads. Someone on here was kind enough to send me a lanyard. I had my girls go through their pins, and they each gave up two. I had one leftover from our last trip, so we have her started with a cute lanyard and five pins.

That is so nice! You know, I just remarked to my kids after we returned from our trip a few days ago that the water bottle straps they sell @ WDW would also work great as a place to put pins. I believe they are $3.75 and all have a different type of "Disney" print on them. That way you can kill two birds with one stone...trade pins, and keep hydrated!

Thank you Calyso for the tip, I will try that my son is going to be turning 10 and this will be his first trip and tohught the pin trading would make a lovely memory. I am squeezing this trip out of my lint in my pockets! Naturally just learned that we need to have a heavy duty auto repair bill prior to our trip and am over the moon now that $3.75 is a doable thing thank you for the great tip!
