where at the MK do i activate an AP?

You can do it at the TTC ticket counters or at the ticket window outside the turnstiles at MK. It's better to do it at the TTC because there are more windows open.

Safetymom, I was at the TTC around 4:30 last Friday, they told me in the gift shop that I had to go to MK. Sooooo, back on th eresort monorail we went. Do they close the guest relations at TTC early or something?

Not that I am aware of. Did you ask at a ticket counter? I know at that time of day there aren't many open.

There were NO ticket windows open, that's why I went into the gift shop. I as al little surprised because I thought that they would have one open just for that reason.

Hmmm. I guess I will have to pay closer attention when I go over now to see what the story is.

It worked out okay for us since we were staying at GF, but still wound up being a bust. Had been told by ticketing that we could apply remaining days of park hoppers toward the cost of an AP for DH and DD and that they would be activated that day, not backdated to the day they were first used. I had the person repeat it for me twice so I'd be sure. Well, when we arrived at the MK window the girl told us they'd be back dated. Needless to say we just used up those days rather than get an AP that was only good till October.

There isn't a Guest Relations counter at the TTC... only once you get to the MK. It is to the right of the turnstiles.

The TTC closes its Vacation Planner booths early, so if you arrive in the afternoon, you may need to take care of tickets/ APs after riding the monorail over to the MK.

You can activate your AP at any ticket window, it doesn't have to be guest services. Any open ticket window will do.

The CM who told you the AP would be backdated was WRONG. I have done this; if you are trading in an old, partially-used Park Hopper or Park-Hopper Plus pass for credit toward purchase of a new AP, the new AP will be brand-spanking new and will activate the day you buy it for 365 days. It will NOT be backdated to the first day you used the old Hopper; after all, what if the Hopper is more than a year old?!

And as N.E.D. said, any ticket window at the 4 theme parks, as well as the Guest Relations windows at the 4 theme parks the Guest Relations desks at Downtown Disney, can sell you an AP or activate an AP voucher.

You can also buy new APs (but cannot activate vouchers) at the airport Disney stores, the Disney outlets at Belz and Orlando Premium Outlets, and the Ocala Welcome Center on I-75.
