Where at the entrance would you buy an AP?

I don't mean to be thick but having come back my mate and I were obviously having a nosey around the entrance and the only place we could see if you wanted to purchase AP, or tickets was the ticket booths, is this the right location or should you go somewhere else to buy your AP? Also do you need any documents with you such as Utility Bill, Proof of ID?

Thanks

Utility bill???

You buy an AP at the entrance of the park (Disneyland Park or the Studios). Actually, you buy a voucher. With that voucher you can enter through the turnstiles, and you'll ahve until the end of that day to change your voucher into an actual AP at the AP bureau (in Discoveryland).
There they will take your picture and fill out your information in the computer system + print your APs.

It's an easy process, but depending on the (time of) day, there might be a long line at the AP bureau.

Ah thats great, means we won't be running around looking for somewhere!!

We passed the Annual Passport Building on our way to ride Buzz and excitedly pointed out that we would be there in October!!:)

You need your passport as proof of ID. I always thought you bought them from Guest relations to the right of turnstiles rather than just the normal ticket booths - might be wrong though as we got our inside (had a 1 day ticket to get in in first place)

You can buy them from the normal ticket booths but if you're using any offers like the child free offer, family discount, or sponsorship then I think it's best to go to Guest Relations. If you go to a normal ticket booth it will be pot luck whether or not the CM is fully aware of all the above.

Utility bill???

It's what we call bills that provide services to your home, like a gas bill, electricity bill, telephone bill, council tax bill.
In the UK they are usually requested as a second form of ID after a driving licence/passport as they help to prove where you are living.

i'm getting so confused lol, do u have to buy the temporary ones at guest relations or is it ok to get a day pass and go straight into the park to the passport office coz i read that you can do this :confused3

I bought the AP vouchers (= temporary APs) at the entrance. NO guest relations involved.
Oh, and we used the shareholder's discount, no problem whatsoever with the CMs at the ticket boots, they knew how to handle it!

You can do it either way - both involve a visit to the passport office.

Option 1 - buy a day ticket at the ticket booth - go through the turnstiles as normal. Go to the passport office - exchange for an annual pass paying the difference between the day pass and the annual pass.

Option 2 - buy the annual pass in full at the ticket booth (I think depending on the queues it might be as quick to go to the Guest Relations window at the far right round the corner opposite the entrance to the Disneyland Hotel). You pay in full here and they give you a temporary ticket and you then go to the passport office and exchange for an annual pass.

There really isn't much in the methods as both involve a ticket purchase and a visit to the AP office.

Would I be right in thinking if I was to get sponsorship I should go the Guest Relations Window then which I think is near to where we left our bags and paid €2.50 for that privilege? I seem to recall it was near a door marked Salon Mickey, is this the right location? Thanks
