Where are your favourite salads?

Another vote for the Chinese Chicken Salad at the Pacific Wharf Cafe! YUM! The salad is huge and I like to get the breadbowl on the side to snack on for later. They just give you one wrapped in a plastic bag! I also LOVED the Big Al's chicken salad at the Hungry Bear! Loved the watermelon on there! I like the chicken caesar at Rancho too! All good!

OH! And I forgot! The Blue Bayou appetizer salad is like a meal in itself! Soooo yummy! And their dressing is amazing!

Oops...I may have given the wrong restaurant name when talking about the salmon salad. It's in that little shack-style take-out place by the canoes (across from the big drop on Splash). I called it Pacific Wharf but I think that's in DCA, and I don't remember the name now. But it's good! Romaine, candied pecans, dried cranberries, flax, and a big piece of salmon on top.

Do you think that chicken salad at Hungry Bear is seasonal? I don't recall seeing it on their menu?

Love this thread!! I'm a LC eater (and dd and dh are GF), so I'm taking notes! Thanks!

I had several salads last week during family trip to Dland. The best was Big Al's Chicken Salad at Hungry Bear - smoked chicken on top or romaine and iceberg lettuce with watermelon, candied pecans, dried cherries, pickled red onions, and honey-lime vinaigrette. It was a very refreshing salad on a hot day, and since they provided the dressing on the side, I was able to make sure it wasn't over-dressed.

This sounds delicious! I will have to check this out, but also wanted to try the fried green tomato sandwich there. Hmmm, decisions decisions... I have always loved the salads at Pacific Wharf.

You could always order both and split the salad and sandwich between yourself and someone else you are going with! :) I actually really wanna try the fried green tomato sammie too! Sounds delish!

I love the China Island salad at Rainforest. The chicken strip one is good too. I also like the southwest salad at ESPN Zone.

I agree! I think Blackjackdelta mentioned it when I asked for food suggestions before my trip. I ate it during our trip last week. It was really good. The rest of my family loved the soup bread bowls too. There is also a very good salad at Boardwalk pizza & pasta. It had nuts in it...though I cannot remember the name right now.

Kerry

Oh I looked it up on allears.net and it was called Boardwalk Field Greens.

The Boardwalk Field Greens at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta at DCA was delicious, large, and only $7.50, which I thought was very reasonable. I shared it with my daughter, and we both loved it.

This is SO good! DH and I shared it, but I hogged most of it! Went well with my ravioli's. That was a great meal!

"Crescent City" Salad - Choose Blackened Chicken or Pan-seared Atlantic Salmon on top of fresh Spinach and Mixed Baby Greens, tossed with Carmelized Pecans, Red Grapes, Navel Orange Segments, Caramelized Onions, Chopped Green Onions, Roasted Sweet Corn, and Orange-Cilantro Vinaigrette.

At Cafe Orleans was AMAZING. It's a huge salad and easy enough to share. Last trip in June we walked into Cafe Orleans having never dined there before and had the most amazing meal , I highly recommend the salad. I had it with the Blackened Chicken.

I like the caramel apple, macaroon, and tigger tail salad with ghirardelli sundae dressing. ;)

Pacific Wharf. I eat salads almost every meal...........and love these. Love the bread too.
I take a baggie with me and take the bread bowl.....scrapped clean to snack on later.

My boyfriend loves the Shrimp Louie salad at Pacific Wharf and I love the Sonoma Chicken and Apple salad. We both get the bread on the side. I haven't tried any other salads at DLR, although some of the ones mentioned sound delicious!

I also really enjoy the salads from Boardwalk Pizza and pasta as well as the greek salad from the place next door. This salad is a favorite with my family as well-

Village Haus Restaurant-
Apple & Cheddar Salad - Blend of red and green apples, Cheddar cheese, fresh greens, Craisins dried cranberries, golden raisins, toasted walnuts, with honey-yogurt dressing

We make it at home all the time.

Hi we will be in the parks for 7 days in October and I am a salad junkie.

I am hoping for some recommendations from you guys as to where you love your big bowls of green?

Thanks

C

Thanks for posting this! I am heading to DLR in less than 3 weeks and when we are not at character meals or TS... I want salads!
