This trip I want to plan an hour "rest stop" within Epcot on one of our days.

We once noticed the wonderful model railroad in Germany. I remember it as being a quiet area... Are there places to sit down (or even lay down on a grassy area???)

Any other recommended quite spots in Epcot?

The garden in the UK that's tucked back behind all the buildings (next to where the characters appear). I recall there are lots of benches and some very lovely plants to look at!

Canada's garden, Japan's garden and UK's garden are our favorite quiet spots.

I would try around the entrance of the Coral Reef Cafe. It may seem odd, but that entrance is sort of out of the way and those visiting it or leaving it really are the only ones there. There are benches there that are right under the monorail track (hopefully that's not a problem), so occasionally, you get to see that pass overhead. It seems like an odd place, but it is pretty quiet.

We liked the shaded bench area on the International Gateway.

The garden behind the Japanese fast food place - don't remember the name. It's very peaceful with a stream and rock garden, japanese laterns, etc.

The german train setup does get a little crowded sometimes, and I believe that it is a smoking area. How about the OTHER side of Germany before the Outpost?

Or the benches over the bridge in Italy (where the gondola boats are located)

Or the benches by the International Gateway entrance just inside the gate. You can watch things going on in France from there.

Or behind the Fish and Chips place - there is a walkway along the water and places to sit (if no private function in progress)

The butterfly garden immediately behind Mousegears (before Test Track) in Future World.

These are my favourite!!

The Garden in the far right side of the France Pavillion. Very nice. :)

Hmm i like to hover over the trains in Germany.. i assume they are still there.. i havent been in a year and a half or so i think. But there isnt usually many people around and giving the fact that i have been to Germany and speak it fairly well.. its a fun spot to converse and sit with other German speaking people.
