Where are you going on vacation this year?

I am planning my wedding in St. Thomas on October 11, 2004 so we are taking a cruise out of San Juan for a week withour families and getting married. Then we are staying on the cruise (with different Itnerary) for a second week as our "alone" honeymoon!!!

We only have one "vacation" planned for this year. My DDs (5 and 2) love the beach so we are taking them to Orange Beach AL for Spring Break. Our other trip this year will be the 4 or 5-day drive to AZ if/when we move in the fall.

I only have 1 planned this year. July 18-25, at...where else but WDW!

Well, we have 2 trips planned for this year. First, I suggested to DH last fall that we try to visit at least one baseball park every summer. I thought this would be a good way to see a lot of places we wouldn't normally see. In July we plan to see a game at the New Tiger Stadium (I don't know the commercial name) in Detroit. After that, we will drive to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio for a day, then see a game at Jacobs Field in Cleveland. How's that for vacation...Detroit & Cleveland!!

We are also planning at trip to WDW in early October.

We're planning on 10 days at WDW in June and 4 or 5 days in Myrtle Beach in August. I haven't made any ressies yet, though.

Funny you should ask this as I've been thinking about that this week! We split up our vacation time with a couple of days here and there over the summer. Here's our plan so far...

April - WDW for a week
June - NH for 3 nights
July - RI for 2 nights
Aug. - Maine for 3 nights
Nov. - WDW for a week

We also do day trips here and there. Have to start making reservations!

We're doing a Western Caribbean cruise in June, then during ds's Fall Break in Oct. we're doing our first family trip to WDW!

WDW Nov 13-20 at BWV

and if the Eagles make the superbowl a trip to Houston may be a possibility

Alice,
You will love the Hale Koa, it is so-o-o relaxing, and the one thing all visitors to Oahu complain about is not a factor there-- the price of food. It is way cheap, at both the restaurants and the exchange. Hope you make it there soon.

My sister invited me to stay with her in Kuai for free in March, but I am going to visit my other sister in Indiana instead for the birth of her baby.

We have a Destin trip in June, and I know I'll be going through Disney withdrawl in about November, so who knows. We spend most of our vacation time in Florida, and we homeschool, so our schedule is flexible.

Docrafiki,
You could drive to New Orleans, Dallas, Austin, Phoenix, and Las Vegas all in one trip, but I would go to Ireland if I were you.

One week up at Lake Nippissing, Ontario, Canada trying to catch some pike. One week at Black Lake, NY trying to catch some pike (and bass). After Thanksgiving we are going to WDW to see the Christmas stuff! :bounce:

I might try to squeeze Hershey Park in there for a weekend trip.

:sunny: Just needed that.

My parents are driving here from Idaho and we are all going to Door County, WI, for a week. We are renting a house the last week of July (for my Birthday :) ). It should be a great time!

We will probably also go to Minneapolis sometime this summer to visit the Zoo and the MOA. :)

And we might end up some where for the holidys this year. :)

Trip plans this year:
Memphis TN for Wedding 2 days
In June

WDW in July 1-5 onsite All-Star Resorts

A couple small trips to Atlanta, Gatlinburg and any trip the Boys Scounts of America go on.

Trip 2005
WDW in June With the Boys Scounts America for a week

We see how money tight money is see if fit everything in. Me and Mom have start a traditon of going out town in the summer for the hoildays.

I'm hoping for Thanksgiving in WDW
We also will make at least 1 trip to VA to my parents and hit the beach and Busch Gardens

We are going to WDW over Thanksgiving this year. Every other year, BIL has his sons over Thanksgiving (divorce thing) and we as a family get together and go out of town. In 2002, we did a great trip to Sedona. BIL is remarried and has a stepdaughter; neither have been to WDW, so we are taking the whole family out there and having a big ole bash. We will have fifteen in our group. Two are close friends with the family (like an adopted son of MIL) and we are taking them, also. Both friends are blind and are so very excited to visit WDW, too! They have never been and probably would never get to go otherwise. I have a herniated disk and a bulging disk, so I doubt I can do the wild rides this year, so I can sit out with the service dogs while they do the wild rides! It will be a great trip!

I really have very few plans this year :( No Disney trip in sight. Instead I will be going to Atlanta in June to visit a good friend of mine for a few days. I may also be visiting Six Flags here in TX at some point. Really gonna be disney withdrawl year. I gotta save though since Disneyland in 2005 is my next dream lol :)

Dax,
You can see most all of the things you want to see in Texas within a week's time. The only one I'm not sure of is Schlitterbaun. I've been to the three Six Flags and if you haven't got your intenirary fixed yet I'd suggest starting in Houston, then San Antonio, then make your way to Dallas. Also if you want to see a pretty cool town make a trip up northeast of dallas 100 miles and we could have mini-DIS meet ;)

Definate plans are:
May Hershey Park for about 3 days with about 6 other family members:earseek:
We also will go on maybe 2-3 day trips to Hershey Park.

Nov.- 3/4 days at Disney's Vero Beach and 8 days at WDW.

Up in the air:
Weekend getaway for DH and myself. Either Cape May(we love it there)or Newport, RI(never been) This depends on my sons' helth and if I can convince my mom to watch her grandkids!

I am also thinking maybe a mid summer trip but don't know where. DH gets 3 weeks vacation and I'm really trying to stretch it!!!:hyper:

April WDW during Easter break.

May 4 days Kings Dominion and Virgina Beach

June 2 days with son's school touring Boston and Harvard

July 5 days SC- family reunion

August or September 7 night western cruise with Carnival. Can't book this until I find out when the first day of school is. I hope it's September 13 so that we can cruise on the 4th. (cheaper than the August dates)

October 3 days NC- son's dad's wedding.

December Christmas break WDW.

We will be in WDW the week of March 20. Our kids school break.

We'll be back at WDW the last week of May. With our DVC points, AP's and the DVC Member Homecoming, it was an opprotunity we couldn't pass up.

We'll be at Disney Hilton Head Island, SC, resort in July.

Looking forward to having 3 weeks of vacation in 4 months time. However, I'm not sure how we're going to survive no time off the 2nd half of this year. :( Maybe I'll just have to start planning an early 2005 trip.:teeth:

Money is an issue for us too particularly since our house needs some work done. But hopefully we can work out a way to take some vacations.

If we can, I hope to visit WDW/Universal and once again (I never make it), try to get to Vegas later in the year. I also hope we can visit San Antonio and Eureka Springs like we usually do.

Dax, I would allow 2 days for Schlitterbahn and 3-4 days for San Antonio. You have Sea World, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, the Riverwalk, missions and lots of smaller attractions in SA. Not to mention lots to do in the general San Antonio/New Braunsfels area. You can easily knock out Six Flags Texas in a day but you would probably want to allow a day for travel. IF you have to skip anything, I would suggest Six Flags Astroworld. It has some good coasters but the park is kind of tacky.

May- WDW and DCL (May 3-14th)
July- Annual "official" LaughingPlace meet (July 15-19)

I want to stick a few day camping trip and maybe another DL trip in Oct/Nov
