I am trying to decide where to eat for Thanksgiving (2 adults and a 10 yo)! We would like a traditional meal with some different things also (not really interested in a character meal) ! Any advise?? Any reviews/pics from last year?? Thanks!

I don't mean to upset you but most of the more popular places are already booked solid. We have LTT booked for a late lunch-- no characters--- from the 180 day mark and I have been calling every other day to try to get something around the MK resorts with no luck. But I do need a table for 5 so maybe for 3 you'll have better luck!!

I agree with the previous poster -- it might be tough. So, first, try calling and asking what's still available for a party of three on Thanksgiving and see what they say.

If all is booked, here are some other suggestions:
-If you're renting a car, check out other non-Disney restaurants in the area. There are some good ones and you might be able to reserve something that way.

-If you're staying at a Deluxe Resort, order room service and make your own Thanksgiving that way -- it could be fun for your 10-year-old to maybe pretend that you're like the Pilgrims -- miles from "civilization" and making the most on the available food and being thankful for it. It could be an intimate family Thanksgiving for your family.

-Go to the park of your choice and do counter service, but pretend one of you is a pilgrim, and one is Squanto or Samoset (if I remember their names right -- LOL!), and the Squanto and Samoset can "help the pilgrim" get the food.

The important thing is that you're together as a family. It will be memorable, whatever happens, because of that. :)

Post script: DH suggests that the Hilton (he thinks it's near Downtown Disney) will probably do a Thanksgiving buffet, and they will probably not be filled yet. So that's another idea! :)

We also wanted something different for Thanksgiving and I called and changed my ADR yesterday from Artist Point to Jiko. The CM told me there was plenty of availability.

Good luck!!
:)

Lots of the restaurants that don't offer a "Thanksgiving spread" still offer a Thanksgiving meal option. Got to allears.net. I think they have all of the restaurants listed that did something special last year.

We are eating at 1900 Park Fare, but I made my reservations as soon as I could and 5:30pm was the first available for a party of 3.

Last Thanksgiving we (all 13 of us) enjoyed the buffet at the Cape May Cafe; It was our 50th anniversary and we had grandkids with all sorts of needs menu-wise. It was great even though we had ressies for 2 PM because of the large group. Food was great and replenished when needed

We have ressies for 50's prime time because we thought it would be fun, and one of the kids isn't wild about turkey and prime time has turkey and the regular menu. Of course, this is our first trip so we can't offer much advice. We always have Thanksgiving dinner with family, but this year we will miss our tradition, so we thought we would spend Thanksgiving with "mom" and the "aunts and uncles" at prime time.

We are actually checking out on Thanksgiving Day and heading back to NC. I would love for my family of 4 to have a nice palce to eat...not in the parks but a vary memorable Thanksgiving Dinner at Disney. Any suggestions? We have Mama Melrose for the day before. :confused3 Thanks!

I booked yesterday at Trails End for 3pm. Trails end and the Fresh Mediterranean market were our only choices for a party of 5!

See you there:) :thumbsup2 We also made our reservations a while ago and could only get 3:50pm. Call soon!

We've got a reservation for 7.30pm as we thought we'd at least attempt to spend some time in the parks that day - that's if we can squeeze through the crowds of course :crowded:

Enjoy your meal and leave some food for us :rotfl:

We are eating at Cal Grill, they will have a traditional Thanksgiving meal in addition to some regular menu choices. I called the S&D and asked about their offerings but was told it was too early to make reservations. I'm hoping to stay there so if/when they announce a Thanksgiving meal, I may switch our reservation.

Dont ask me how, but I managed to get a 7pm ressie for 2 at Le Cellier on Thanksgiving, and I only called a week ago  Even the cast member was shocked that it was available. She even had a choice of times available from 6.20 to 7pm, so it cant have been a one off cancellation that I got. I can only assume that everybody must have thought it would be too busy and didn't even try booking. Or perhaps there is something going on that I dont know about :confused3. We dont plan on spending the day at Epcot will just go for dinner and Illuminations.

We're eating at LTT 7.45pm just in time to watch the parade from the balcony
