Im leaving for wdw on Oct. 5th and just found out we can get the
free quick service dining. We already have 3 res. table meals and
did not want to upgrade since i had such a hard time just getting
these res.Was told the pepper market is a good place, are there
any others that serves more than just hamburgers and chick nugg?popcorn::

Captain Cooks at the Poly has the best ever Aloha pork sandwich and chips. :thumbsup2

Morocco at the world showcase has really yummy counter service. They have lamb and chicken with hummus and tabbouleh as well as other delicious fresh sides.

contempo cafe at contemporary , gasparilla grill at grand, roaring fork at wilderness lodge

Downtown Disney has several choices that are good and offer different choices.

The CS locations in the parks are more likely to be geared towards burgers and nuggets because, well, that is what a majority of the people do like to eat - McDonalds is succesful for a reason. However, it is possible to never touch a burger or a nugget with a full week or more of CS dining.

The CS locations at the resorts have the widest array of choices, and all of them have more menu items at dinner than at lunch. Check the menus over on allears.net (wdw tab, under 'dining'). You can take Disney transport of some kind or another from every park to every resort; you do nt have to be a guest at that resort. Great way to sightsee at the different resorts, too.

In the parks:
MK - Columbia Harbor House has an extensive menu. Tommorowland Terrace is also a good choice but is only open part-time. Cosmic Rays serves a mountain of food: ribs or half of a real, baked, un-nuggeted chicken, plus sides. Pizza is available at Pinocchio's.

AK - Flame Tree BBQ also has great ribs, and a really good BBQ chicken salad. Pizzafari is just that - pizza. Yak & Yeti CS has some nice asian dishes.

DHS - hands down, Starring Rolls is my favorite use of a 1-CS meal credit. Wonderful, enormous sandwich - plus your choice of a bag of chips or a piece of fruit - plus your beverage - plus your choice from the bakery counter, which includes the famous Butterfinger and Red Velvet cupcakes. Another alternative is the row of CS places along the side street leading to ToT; they share an outdoor seating area so your group can order at separate counters and then come together to eat; kind of an open air food court.

Epcot - well, honestly, about the only places here you CAN get a burger or nuggets would be the American pavillion or the Electric Umbrella (yucky). In the front of the park, Sunshine Seasons in The Land is a nice indoors food court. Or just walk around the WS; every country (except - I think - Italy)has a CS location. We particularly like Norway (hot sandwich, plus a side item which can include salad or soup, plus a dessert from the bakery, plus your beverage). But pretty much all of them get good marks.

We did the quick service meal plan for the first time. I liked trying some of the counter service restaurant that I normally can't do because I have to schedule a counter service.

Magic Kingdom: Columbia Harbor House (Hummus sandwich, Tuna sandwich)
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons (great variety from Asian to rotisserie specialties)
Downtown Disney: Wolfgang Puck Express (food comes on real plates, servers are super polite, IMO the best counter service meal)
Animal Kingdom: I like Pizzafari for the hot Italian sandwich. I also like the ribs at Flame Tree but I am not too fond of the outdoor seating there.
Hollywood Studios: Starring Rolls (nice sandwiches with some great cupcake desserts.)

I just wanna say it might be cheaper to upgrade than pay cash for 3 TS.You might wanna do the math just to be sure. But I think you can still use TS credits @ QS stops if you want. [just think it will be less $$$]Anyways, Pecos Bills is my fav QS in MK but CHH is very good too. Mexico in Epcot. DHS,I snack on giant pickles & soft pretzels. I have never been thrilled w/ the QS options @ DHS but they are ok. AK I hear flame tree is the place to try,but have yet to try it.

My favorite QS is the "make your own pasta" station at POR.:woohoo:

I just discovered Columbia Harbour House in MK. Sit up stairs too.....totally quiet and relaxin.

Flame Tree BBQ was our family favorite, also Starring Rolls, and most of the Epcot quick service locations are really good. I didn't care for any of the QS places at MK.

MK -- Columbia Harbour House -- love the fish!

EP -- Sunshine Seasons is nice, but Tangierene (sp?) Cafe, the CS in Morocco, is fantastic!

DHS -- We have yet to enjoy CS at DHS, so please tell me if you find something good! Whatever that CS is near the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground is ok, though, and seems to have a few different options, though I can't remember them offhand.

AK -- Love, love, love Flame Tree BBQ!

Have a great trip!

Agreed! That's where we are planning to eat for sure for one of our CS meals one day. It was one of our fav meals of the entire trip last time.

My DH loves the orange cous cous...he always makes me laugh because when he eats cous cous he always says "cous cous, the food so good they had to name it twice!" I always roll my eyes like I'm tired of the joke but I still find it funny - hehe!

Oh - maybe you can answer my question?? I'm soooo confused :confused3

I've read posts about Y&Y having a CS option but can't find anything on the WDW website showing it or a menu? I can only find info on the Y&Y TS menu. But it sounds like you've eaten at the Y&Y CS??? Do they accept the DDP for a QS lunch?

I agree with Tinkerbellah, you should consider upgrading your dining plan to cover your table service meals. I's only $11.00 per person per day and it won't affect your present reservations.

the only reason we did not up grade was because i did not want
to be straped down to so many res.,my sister had already booked
three and at that time i thought that was enough.I like to be in
the parks and didnt want to leave just because we needed to get
to a dinner res.thats why we stayed with the counter servicen plan.
even with that i dont think we will be able to eat so much, plus
i like the fact it comes with the mug.(1 less thing to buy)popcorn::
also,we had a hard time just trying to get the res. we did book.
most of the ones we wanted were booked up or the res. was
very late.but we stiil managed to get Cape May,La Hasianda and
The Polynesian buffet. My sister also bought me the MK dessert
party so we can see the fireworks.i dont think you can use the
DDP for that since she had to pay for that up front:wizard:princess:pirate:
