There were several threads about cats/kittens today and I didn't want the dogs to get jealous... anyone have any great dog stories? I'd tell one, but my 3 furbabies aren't doing anything exciting at the moment... they're all fast asleep... I wish I could be sleeping too!

When my dog was a puppy, she learned that the bed was really comfy to sleep on. One morning I called out to her and she came barreling down the hall and took a mighty leap....and BONK! she hadn't quite learned how to time her jumps yet and hit the footboard head on. We about wet the bead from laughing to hard. From then on she stopped and then crawled slowly on the bed.

LOL! We would have done the same thing too!
Dh was playing frisbee with dogger the other day...she's actually pretty good at it...anyway he tosses it out and she's off and running. She jumps to catch it and somehow ends up going hind legs over head and rolling down a hill. she got right up, grabbed the frisbee, and came back for more.

Whenever she jumps up onto something (her chair/our bed/even just walking up the stairs) she likes to leave her 'mark' in her wake by farting...sometimes it even scares her and she has to jump back down and sniff out the situation.

she's a nutball to watch sometimes...when she's not just doing this:

Max the clown, he was always fond of water since the day we brought him home. Little did we know just how fond he was. He would always follow Mom around no matter what room she was in. If left out he would barge in thru the door. Well one day when Mom was in the shower. He decided that this sounded just great to him so he decided to join her. Well before Mom could react to his barging into the bathroom he jumped right into the shower with her. Hey after all it was water right? Well after a bit of shrieking on Mom's part with shampoo and water flying everywhere. He now has to settle for waiting for Mom on the bathroom rug. Hey Mom might have needed his help. So now his water is limited to his pool in the backyard which he loves dearly.

P.S. - Mom was me!!!!

lol our dog dot ( a very hyper jack russel terrier) is so funny when she was a puppy we would be playing with her and she would literally fall over and go right to sleep. no warning or anything it was so funny! now she burrows under our blankets and walks in a circle for five minutes until she is absolutly sure that is the spot she wants. like it has totally changed since you first layed down   ????? lol

My dog recently went on hormone replacement therapy and they are BIG pills. Good thing she doesn't chew her food- she thinks these pills are treats. My mother had a toy poodle, you could put a pill the size of a tic tac in a hotdog and she would eat the hot dog and spit out the pill.......:teeth: This moron Weimaraner thinks we're giving her something fantastic! God I love this dog!::yes::

Monty dog continues to do new and interesting stuff all the time. That is, when he is not trying to jump up on my lap to sleep while I'm typing. :)
