Where are the cheap flydrives???

Hi Guys,

I don't know if its just me again, but how do you find cheap flights/fly drives?

I realise looking for mid august next year isn't the cheapest time of year, but I can't seem to find anything under £2600.

The only one cheaper by a mile is Globespan from Glasgow for £1466 economy or £1966 premium economy.

Am I looking at the wrong time of year, should I leave it much later?

Its too early for Scheduled flights you cant book until 11 months out from your return flight. Only ones you can book now are Virgin Fly drive, Globespan or Charter flights. We never book until Scheduled have been released.

It is a very expensive time of year to travel, unfortunately. I'm not sure you will get anything "cheap" but it may be possible to secure some seats for £500 each or so.

Ways to make it a little cheaper include:
Flying indirect
Flying midweek
Booking as soon as flights are released (11 months prior to return date)
Have you looked at a Miles plus money option? Or Airmiles etc?

We almost always travel in August and the flights are just a huge cost I have had to learn to swallow

Also, look at flight only and car only as well as they can turn out cheaper

we use to go with Virgin but it got to pricey, and we found TCD which was cheaper. I think we paid around £2,000 or £2,500 cant remeber which one, for mid august this year 4 from manchester, with car.

book around the beginning of year (jan -april)the prices are cheaper for some reason
