i have eaten at
tonys: dinner. fantastic steaks and appetizers. excellent service ate 2x here.
liberty tree tavern: dinner served in platters. salad, roast turkey, roast beef, pork loin, veggie of the day, homemade bread, stouffer dressing, mac and cheese, apple butter, applecrisp with vanilla ice cream ate 5 times here, excellent food, service can be slow if on a
mnsshp night.
crystal palace: lunch and dinner here on 7 different occassions. lunch is cheaper than dinner but less meats available. fantastic food, some southwest flavor on the salads. dessert bar is fresh and variety. characters make the rounds about every 40 minutes. dinner is fantastic on the food.
prime time : 3 xs here for lunch and the last time was horrible, no repeats for me.
poor service, over cooked food mainly the pot roast, meat loaf. fried chicken was very good. went solo here one time and ignored for the larger families.
sci fi: 3x for lunch high priced. had burgers/ reuben/ fish dish/ salads/ chili/ hot dogs. food ok but burgers too dry for us. service is adequate. desserts are the best thing here. if i would go back, it would be for the dessert only.
we felt you are paying for the ambiance here more than the food.
garden grill: 9 visits here as of last october. we loved the food but now it has changed to a menu. not sure if we will try it now for this year's trip.
san angel inn: 4 visits for lunch: dinner is quite a bit more than the lunch menu. try to get seated by the railing so you can watch the boats go by.
dimly lite, tables are close together. food was ok, better than taco bell but an undercut of real authentic mexican food. carne asada was good but small, kids liked the enchiladas. service was slow but with it being so crowded, i expected that.
chef mickey: tried it 2x for dinner. was not impressed both times. loud, crowded and the serving counter for the hot food and cold food was not kept up. when something spilled, slow to fix it. the prime rib was good but not enough to pay over $27 a person. dessert bar very good.
we found the food here not as good as hollywood and vine.
hollywood and vine: tried here 7 times and enjoy the wide variety they have. food hot and good variety. dessert counter good. your server brings you your drink and plates, the rest is up to you. good variety for fish, pasta, meat and chicken. can be used for fantasia show in the package program.
hoop de do: tried it 2 times and loved it. corny as it is, we had fun. food is plentiful. ribs, soup, salad, bread, soda, corn, chicken, stawberry short cake. one time the food was fantastic the other just good.
i know i am forgetting some of the places. i have the
free dining program with my package and will be trying new places in sept. spending 11 days there.
i will try boma, park fare, biergarten, and le cellier for dinners.
for counter service will try columbia house and plaza (maybe that is a sit down)
