How do you address it? Confirmation number? C/o? Arrival date?

Thanks

Include your name (well, the name the reservation is under), confirmation number and your arrival date.

And double check the direct address with the resort.

is there a charge from the resort to receive the packsge?

It depends. Stayed at BC last year and when they delivered our packages the form we signed states that there is a charge but it 'magically' disappeared from our bill.

I'm sure it varies by resort and CM.

I am also interested in finding out if there is a charge to send something to a resort at Disney. We just returned from a week at Universal Orlando and prior to leaving I shipped 3 cases of water from Costco. Upon picking them up at the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal I found out I had to pay a $15.95 :guilty: package delivery fee.

Does Disney have the same policy :confused3 ? We are staying at port orleans riverside in April.

We were not charged a fee at WL in May. I believe I have read that resorts that are considered "convention resorts" do charge a fee, but others do not.

When we have sent packages we labeled them as follows:

Disney's (Name of Resort)
Guest Name
Reservation #
Arriving on MM/DD/YYYY
Address of Resort

We have shipped packages often but never had a charge. I ship it a week in advance and include my name, arrival date, and the resort name & address.

I would like to know if they are beginning to charge.

Crap. I didn't include my confirmation # on my package.

I sent it to my Resort, c/o me and put on the box "Hold for Guests Arriving 8/31".

I wonder if I should have put my confirmation #... crap.

On previous threads regarding this topic, posters have stated that you should NOT put your confirmation # on the box because it could be a way to conduct fraudulent operations. I personally followed that advice and did not put that number on the box and received it just fine. Just make sure to have the correct mailing address for your specific resort and write on many sides of the box " HOLD FOR GUEST ARRIVAL ON (DATE)".

You don't need the confirmation number. It's good insurance to put it on but it isn't essential. It IS very important to put the street address of the resort. You can find them here (Disney Resorts are under "D"):

www.ownerslocker.com/locations

I'd also be wary of using USPS. The last thing you need is to get caught up in the WDW internal mail system!

If I were to send a package to my resort and I was using USPS I would spend the money for delivery conformation as well as a return receipt for merchandise. With return receipt for merchandise you get a card back in the mail with the persons signature that signed for the package. Delivery conformations can be checked by the post office as to date and time the package was delivered.

Smile, you'll be fine.

As long as you have your name, resort and arrival date you will be fine.

We've shipped boxes to our resorts MULTIPLE times. All boxes arrived safe and sound.

Sometimes takes Bell Services a bit of time to find them but they always end up in the room.

Let the CM know that you have a box that was sent to the resort when you check in. Most of the time they arleady tell you this before you can mention it.

Have a great trip!!
