When you leave the park - pass outs & stamps

Hi

I've heard so many people being stamped when they leave the park, then go back to the hotel to have a swim. What type of ink is used so that the stamp doesn't come off when swimming? Or does the ink come off and that causes problems???

Or have I had a moment and it's the ticket that is stamped when you present it on the way out?????

I figured the reason why the stamp is to save say a party of 5 going in, then 1 of the 5 coming back out and handing the other 4 tickets to others that haven't paid.

They stamp your hand.

I don't know what ink they use but it was this horrible yellow ink that shows up under black light. And I wouldn't worry about it washing off. I wash my hands often and this ink was still on my hands days later!!!

Right, stamping the ticket would defeat the purpose: They stamp your hand so they know it's you who entered the park in the first place and that you haven't given the ticket to somebody else.

Unless you have detatchable hands, you can't do it when they stamp you.

I've never had the ink stay on my hand longer than the next day. Sometimes I've had it start coming off that day in fact.

I love the stamps! They are fun during the dark rides! I have never had it waer off in less than a day.....but on the other hand never had it last more than 2 days.

just make sure not to hit soap on it... water should be fine... if not, i doubt that be a pain to not let you back in if like 5 ppl come in with you. mine last even through soap once... i was suprised...

I think it depends on how much ink is on the stamp pad. The first day we got the stamp, it was only slightly visible in the regular light but was very visible under the black light. The second day the stamp felt very wet and it was very bright and visible in regular as well as black light and it took a few days to wear off even with lots of soap and water!! Either way, I wouldn't worry about it because it will definitely stay on for the entire day you have your hand stamped. Even if it didn't, when they scan your ticket when you return, they should be able to see that you were at the park earlier in the day.

So does this mean DL tickets are still paper? When I was at the disney store they were selling park hoppers that were plastic credit card sized...

DL tickets were still paper when we were there in May. Maybe they were vouchers that you have to turn in to get the tickets.

Yeah im not sure what kind of ink they use, but its really strong. I showered 2 times a day. Once when I get up and once before I go to bed, and in the morning the mark is still there.

yea, very strong ink... i tried washing it off with soap... didnt wash off :/ I gave up after that...
