When you book a cruise on board, how much $ do you have to put down?

$250 per person for a 7 day (at least it was $1000 for us--2 adults, 2 kids)

I think it's $200 per person for the shorter ones ($800).

Pretty much the same as when you book anytime!

Hi, you can also put down a deposit for one person to hold the room and get the discounts and add the rest of your party later. That is what I did last January. I added my dh in the summer and my daughters about 45 days ago. We are cruising in January 05.

That sounds like a great idea, but do you have to worry about them reaching capacity? Also, I'm wondering how good the discounts are if you rebook while onboard?

Be careful when you do this if you have kids. Sometimes, the ship won't be full, but they will be at capacity for the amount of kids that can be onboard. I read in another post that someone did this and then wasn't able to add their children to the ressie because of this.
