i looking at booking for 2016 me DH DS11 and DS9 DH cant agree when to go. We are looking at staying at SSR again plus a stay at a universal hotel plus a Disney cruise as it will be 3 years since we have been. I want to go at Easter but DH thinks it will be cold again like it was last year in Feb plus when we where at Castaway Cay it was only just warm and the sea was cold. He wants to go at the end of August but i feel it will be to hot and the flights silly money. If you could choose when would you go and why many thanks

Between April and end of August, I would choose end of August every time. It is so busy at Easter, although I will concede that it's not as hot (although not cold like Feb can be). August is hot and humid but definitely manageable. Cruising is lovely in August too (we have done it twice). With unlimited Express at Universal, you would be able to do the parks in the mornings and have plenty of time to chill and cool off at the pool in the afternoon. Yes, flights can be expensive but they will be at Easter too.

Summer vacations is the best time to visit there because in this time the everyone is free to enjoy the Disney, the festivals and the best recreational activities are provided there.I have been visited there last year with my entire family i have a good experienced there. The park is a big source of entertainment and enjoyment that why the visit from all over the world visit there.
In which season do you like to prefer to visit in Disneyland?

In April you will catch the Flower & Garden festival at Epcot, weather should be perfect (swimming weather but not too humid) but will be busier.

End of August will be hot, humid and have daily showers. It's is also in hurricane season. Crowds will be lower though.

Flights will be similar prices at either time as they are both school holidays.

I'd choose April. Better weather. That said we almost always have to go in August now but I prefer April. End of August will be cheaper for the Disney part and parks quieter. It can be very wet in August if you catch a tropical storm.

A number of years ago a hotel maid recommended October as the best time of year to visit, due to lovely weather without the storms and humidity. We tried it last year and are going again this year. Parks were not too busy, universal was very quiet and the weather was lovely, sunny and warm. It also made the winter here seem shorter!
Went end of June first week July once, it was too humid. And we like the heat as spend several weeks in Spain most summers, bit of a sun worshipper!
I suppose it depends how much you think the weather impacts on your enjoyment of a Disney holiday. Personally I wouldn't turn a holiday down at any time of the year if it was a good price.

We have booked the end of march/beginning of april for next year, its the only time we can do more than 2 weeks. I dont fancy august, have done it before but it was quite humid and had a bit of rain but dont be put off as you can always cool down in the air conditioned shops or go back for a swim after lunch.
End of march/beginning of april is busier but the weather is perfect for us, hot enough to swim/sunbathe without the humidity. We will manage the crowds by making the most of our fastpasses, we have 19 nights so we wont be in any rush. There are some reasonable flights at easter if your lucky and flexible with dates :thumbsup2

Loved the May trip, Star Wars Weekend, end of F&G festival, Mardi Gras on the Saturdays at Universal (absolutely amazing parade, plus a concert afterwards) The weather was perfect and it wasn't too busy. I think half term is around that time too.

We have this same 'dilema' too!

We love to go over the October half term, weather is fantastic, halloween is amazing and crowd levels are great.

But as DD is getting older, we are reluctant to take her out of school next time we go in 2016 so we will 'have' to go in August.

Hoping we will be able to go for 16/18 nights to make up for possibly having to take it slow due the heat and rain, so thats a bonus!!

Wow even more confused now I think we should go at Easter 2016 as it means we can span it over 2 holiday years work wise it will be the last year we could take the boys out of school for a couple of days so after that would have to go August. The only thing that could swing it would be the prices. If we were to go August then I would take peoples advice of taking it slowly and visit the parks in the morning and evening. May have to tell DH that we would need to stay in one of the monorail resorts to reduce the traveling haha thanks everyone for the great information

I wouldn't go over the Easter period. I've done that once before and never again! It was so busy.

I've been in February. Great weather and not busy and my other favorite time of year to go is October.

My sister went the last two weeks of August and said it's parks were not busy at all.

Been in August every year since 2007 and it's always been absolutely fine, yes it's very hot, but we are kind of used to it now and the weather can be a bit hit/miss, although we've never actually suffered from it that badly but it is much quieter than Easter time so generally more enjoyable. Did late April last year and doing it again next year (as well as August) for an event and although it wasn't that warm, it was busy, still had thunderstorms and I just didn't love it as much as August in all honesty.

If you can drag it out to September you still have the heat but the crowds are less. Only downside its peak hurricane season :lmao:
