during Halloween celebrations or Christmas? and what is the weather like in November?

We won't be going now until 2011! :(

November is great and the christmas decorations are way more impressive than the halloween ones! Either time period will be good weather, November is a little more unpredictable. Last year we needed gloves and sweatshirts but other years people are warm and in shorts.

I used to say Christmas was my favorite time to go (well early December) but October is absolutely fantastic. We like MNSSHP so much more than MVMCP and the weather is much nicer. We like knowing for sure that we will get to swim and/or go to a waterpark. The weather is really nice in October in general. We also like the F&W Festival and the fall decor.

The other nice thing about October is that it breaks up the long haul between Labor Day and Thanksgiving. Plus when you get back you still have all the holidays to look forward to. I get much more stressed with our December trips because I have to make sure most of my holiday work is prepped and done before we leave. Also, it can be a big financial hit all at once.

Both are great times, but I give a slight edge to October!

I love Christmas! We've been to both the MNSSHP and MVMCP, but MVMCP is the one I go to every year. Christmas is more fun for me, because I love the holiday season more. Also, I get great Santa pictures with DS every year at Disney.

I also don't worry if it's warm enough to swim, etc., which can be a concern the later in the year you go. Sometimes it can be very good weather, sometimes not so much.

It does come down to personal preference though.

We've been during both times of year and each one is great in it's own way. I love Halloween and the whole dressing up in costume part. It was cool to trick or treat in the park and my kids couldn't get enough.

But Christmas time is just so beautiful there. All the lights and snow on Main Street. The castle is just breathtaking when it is all lit up.

I am going with my stepsister and stepmom in November of 2011. My stepsister and I went back and forth on when to go and finally decided on seeing the Christmas decorations. My stepmom just loves Christmas and everything about the whole holiday season.

When we went in November, the weather was cool but my kids were able to swim during the day. They really liked that fact that everyone back home was freezing while they were swimming. For the parks, we just dressed in layers. And we only had one evening of rain.

Thanks for the replies. After reading about each season at Disney I've decided on the Christmas theme. I love Christmas and all of the decorations. Hopefully mid november is decent in Florida.

We've always gone in Nov and have loved the weather. We prefer cool weather to warm weather though, guess it depends on what you like.

I had this same dilema last year and I went with Christmas because everywhere is decorated for Christmas whereas MK is the only place decorated for Halloween (or so I've heard). I love my pictures I have of us with the GF gingerbread house and the BC carousel.

I have been in October and over Thanksgiving. The Christmas decorations are really beautiful. However, I think my favorite time to go is in October. I like being able to enjoy the MNSSHP and the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.
