When would you go Jan5-14 or 12-21

From Jan 5th - 14th
The first weekend is the marathon and then the last Friday night we would be there is the beginnig of MLK weekend OR

GO the 12th thru the 21

The First weekend would be MLK weekend then the rest no holiday?

I think either time would be fine....I might go for the later time, but park crowds except in the MK will be quite manageable I think over MLK weekend

I guess by going the later date you would have 1 weekend without special event crowds.

We've been there for the Marathon, and aside from some traffic issues very early that actual morning around Epcot, there was virtually NO impact at all in the way of crowds. MLK weekend does make a difference, however. I'd go for the first set of dates.

MLK will affect the crowds some. The marathon not really at all. I think you'll be fine either way. I'm really hoping for lower crowds. I've hyped up the low levels to DH and we'll be arriving on January 21st for a week.

I think both would be fine, but I would probably choose the latter.

Suggest you go the 5th - 14th. Definately the better week. In fact, we suggest that everyone planning a trip in January go that week. Yup, that's the best week to go for sure!

Let us know how it goes... we're flying down on the 14th.

Having gone the past two January's that first week, I must say that the Marathon's impact on crowds is nil. On the other hand, many people here have said to avoid MLK week-end, so I'd stick with the first week.

I was thinking of sticking to the 5-14 plan, we will be out of the park for MLK birthday and I was using the rational that if I ran the marathon and lived I would be someplace that night that I could get a drink or ten. So MK would be safe for us.
