When worlds collide~the original flats meet in 4D!!

aww.. thats such a nice thing you said. and I'm sure most mothers deal with the same things and feelings. I bet he knows your nervous and that you care- you don't have to tell him!

yeah...my mom and dad still treat me like I'm the baby of the family...because I am. It's weird to still FEEL like the baby as an adult. Hard to describe. so don't expect ethan to act any different as an adult--he'll always be your baby.
I know what you mean....I don't think we ever out grow our "place" in the family...When I'm with my sibblings I revert right into the middle child.

I tried really hard to hide it, but you're right. He knows me too well to think I wasn't freaking out.

There seem to be so many "tail light" moments in our lives. I just hope I can remember the good things about the tail lights disappearing. To be honest, I can't wait to make him run errands for me.
Hi Cherie, you have a new fan here. I found your TR after reading Jordan's.:scared: It took me 2 days during nap time and then more time in the evening to get it done, but worth every minute. In the end you truly did not disappoint. I started crying :sad1:when I read about your son driving away and then you nailed it with the "errand" joke :rotfl2:and I ended up laughing as I usually do while I was reading this dis.

Sorry it took me so long to get onboard. I started surfing in January and it took me so long to read everything. I never wanted to stop to add comments.

Just a few, hope you dont mind.

Our tree fell over this christmas too!! Lost many ornaments, but our 10 disney ones stayed in tact!!:wizard: More disney magic.

My husband gives me the same glazed over look yours does and tells me to do what I want, but does always have many things to say about the day once we are there.

Good choice to stay with the POP. Kitchen tile AND Disney-great combination.

Ditto on the Haiti thoughts. I gave last week before anyone told me to. But yes, many people do need to see the famous people before they jump on board....so I guess its good for them. The rest of us can just ignore the tele and so something else tonight.

Finally: As I already told Jordan, thanks for changing all future disney trips forever. As if they could get any better!! We are going to bring our own "flat" this year (Not sure what it is yet) and I must drag my kids out to a rope drop this year. Have never been. Lastly, it is so comforting to know there are other fanatics like me out there. My DD is following in my footsteps. She is 11 and made all our ADR's online and compiled an itinerary online. Oh boy....I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I guess if I'm willing to give up control it will be great, but not sure if I'm ready for that:scared1:

Can't wait to see the kitchen! :woohoo: How great to have something to come home to.....beside the kids :lmao:

Welcome! I'm glad you posted and took the time to read! I remember when I first discovered trip reports, I lurked for about a year before I posted anything.

Flat's are so much fun! I'm sure you're kids will love doing it. Mine would fight over who's turn it was to pose with flat jordan.

I can't count the times durring a trip I've thought about all my dis friends and what I need to write down for the t.r.

I need help making up my mind! I can't decide where I want to eat on our last night....those in the running are.

Teppan Edo~~ we've been every trip, it's a favorite

Sanaa~~ I'm intrigued by it, but a little unsure...I don't know what half the things on the menu are.

Jiko~~I've always wanted to try it. It's has a good balance of "new" foods and safe like a steak.

Ok, make up my mind for me!

I heard the word "classy" so I KNEW you were talking about me...:rolleyes1

IF THE SHOE FITS !!!! See Cynthia I too am bringing clas to this thread!!!:lmao:

Cherie feel your pain with letting go !! But mine came back for 6 months and that was 7 years ago:lmao:Now she has NO intention of leaving !!! For the most part we all get along well !!But sometimes I would like to send them HOME and have some peace !!! :cloud9:
I think tomorrow is the single digit day or is it Sunday!!

try a new one--Jilko--when you're with the kids you probably would not go there:goodvibes
that's what I'm leaning towards...

I'm at 12 days...11 if I count the night before our flight.

I think I've made a decision....after looking at the dessert menu for Jiko I found Pistachio creme brulee with a chocolate bottom.

I love pistachio flavored things.....add chocolate and I'm in heaven.

I was just getting ready to say Jiko and it looks like you made up your mind. I really want to eat there too.

maybe I can convince d.jay that a trip to seattle is needed.;)

I definitely thing you should come over to Seattle for a few days. It's been relatively nice weather wise lately since we sent all the rain to Cali :thumbsup2

I think what scares me most about him driving, is thinking about the stupid things I did at that age.

Although I am not yet a parent, I've thought about this too. I'm afraid of what my kids are going to be like. If they turn out anything like me, I'm really scared.:sad2:

Jiko was on our (aka MY) short list for the trip, although we never actually made ADRs for it. But then I was informed of the change in what dining plan we'd be doing. Who am I kidding, I am pretty sure I was the one who changed my mind. That $60 I'm saving can go towards drinks at EPCOT now :yay:

the odds of me getting to seattle before the trip, aren't very good.

Jiko was something I wanted to do our first trip, but decided against it and there was no way I was going to pay that much for the kids to eat there.
they'd probably prefer McDonald's anyway.

Yea, after I posted that I realized that you wouldn't be over here that soon. But was too lazy at that point to go back and edit it. Plus, I'd just seen the change in park hours and had to do a binder overhaul

Oh my! Your Tail Lights post made me weepy because I know I am traveling that same road -- Chelsea is already twelve -- in six more years she will be graduating -- that means she is two-thirds of the way done with her years with us! :sad1: So, definitely big hugs from one mom to another!

thanks, Jackie!
I try not to think about it too often, but every once in a while it sneaks up on me.

See, if we're sure to bring potty humor to a thread, Cynthia is right behind us with shoe talk. Then I come along and put them both together with stories of dropping my shoes down my outhouse. :lmao::lmao::lmao: It all works out great!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

we are all predictable in our own way!

thanks! I'm not sure what i'm more excited about....disney world, vacationing without the kids, or escaping the remodel.

I had to send them back, which makes my feet sorry. I think that the problem is with "mary janes" style. My foot is a little thicker from the surgery and that part of my foot gets squished and pooches out of the shoe.
They felt wonderful other than that....I may try another style but I don't know if I'll have time for them to get here and then worn in enough before we leave.
I don't have any stores near that sells that brand....maybe I can convince d.jay that a trip to seattle is needed.;)

cynthia tries so hard to keep things "classy" and we just don't co-operate.

A trip to Seattle is ALWAYS needed! The Privo's are the only Mary Jane style that has worked for me, I have the same issue.

You can't blame a girl for trying, right?

I wear a bib while hurling...;)

just be sure to wear a diaper when..... oops wrong kind of mess...

Oh dear.

IF THE SHOE FITS !!!! See Cynthia I too am bringing clas to this thread!!!:lmao:
:thumbsup2 Rosie!

Oh, YUM! Man....it might have to go back on date night list just for that!

great minds think alike?

But after the trip????? When the pass is all clear????

It has been positively balmy! With the interruption of insane winds every 10 days or so. And torrential downpours. But balmy, the past 3-4 days for sure. It sure felt colder tonight as I was waving signs at cars for our upcoming school levy tonight. I'm still warming up!

 on the Drivers License.

Be prepared for paranoid sleepless evenings and phone calls for directions...

Of course all I could think of while reading it was how much older I am than you! :rotfl:

I think it rains every time I'm in Seattle! I love how green it is but, OY!

Don't you just love having to get school levys passed? To me it's a no brainer..

thank heavens for cell phones!
