When will posted December hours change?

It seems as though there is a general consensus that park hours WILL be extended, although for some reason it just hasn't happened yet. Is there anyone who feels that there's a chance that park hours for the week of Dec 13 could remain the same?

At this point in time, I think anything is possible, but... no, I don't think they will remain the same.

It almost certainly will mess up your ADR. Gird yourself.


At least it's more talked about now. For our trip in 2010 (first WDW trip)I had NO idea that they might change hours, and we walked up to MK's gates, expecting to be there for hour pre-opening CP ADR, to find that everyone else was entering. I don't know when they changed the hours, but I had NO idea about it! So sad.

I want early mornings. They are so advantageous during the crowded times. Most people aren't willing to be at the bus stop at 6:00 AM while on vacation. We are, so it works for us!

For what it's worth, MK hours for the 5th were extended from 10pm to 12am about 3 weeks ago. I don't know about any other dates, but changes have happened.

This is bold considering the updated hours last year were posted on November 17th. It's only two days past that, so I don't think we can rule out updates at this point. It's definitely weird (and frustrating), though, that they still haven't been updated.

And... there's only 1 Mickey's parade time for Christmas week. HIGHLY unlikely there won't be changes to the schedule. Possible? I guess. But "unlikely".
And... didn't November (or was it October) have a new calendar come out REALLY late? Like, 7-10day before the start of the month?

Also it seems Fantasmic will also only have one time per night. I guess that's in keeping with their "as cheap as possible" philosophy but all around Christmas? Really? I can't imagine how bad the crowds are gonna be with only one showing of that. Even last year there were generally 2 showings per nite during December (and sometimes 3)

Doubt it...they change hours up to the last minute - and even on the same day sometimes.

Truth. Last New Years Eve they extended Animal Kingdom's hours until 10:00, but not until that day.

We were just at WDW for Easter this year and did the 7am opening every other day. We got SO Much done in those early hours! And it was kinda neat to be in the park before sunrise! I'm hoping for 7am Christmas week as well!

arriving on Friday the 11th, planning on the Christmas Party for that evening as hours are so early. for Saturday & Sunday MK closes at 10pm and on Sunday DHS has EMH until 10PM. hoping for some later hours!

They have booked CP reservations at 7:00 AM. While anything is possible it is very unlikely they would do that and leave the park opening time at 9:00 AM.

Anyway, add me to the list of frustrated visitors who is not so patiently waiting on the hours to change

Yeah, we know about the Sunday party too but we have to get up and drive home on Monday morning (daughter is being paid to play oboe in our local orchestra and they rehearse on Monday nights ) It was a toss up but I figured that we'd be better off trying to get the rest on Sunday night since we're going to try to leave mid morning on Monday.

Yeah, I'm very surprised nothing is up yet. I mean, it doesn't really change our trip planning - but like PPs have mentioned, the EMHs really come in handy during the crowded times. I need those late-night EMHs at MK.

They extended the hours at HS for today. I thought for sure that meant they were working on hours and we'd get updates to Dec too. But so far, nope
