when will people see the increase

in the food stamps, unempolyment and medicaid? I work in a related field and just wondering if Obama signs this bill by Monday how soon will the increased go into effect?

Much of the funding is financial assistance to states, so the answer to your question will depend on which state you live in, and how readily they capitalize on the assistance provided to them.

I heard the money was to fund the ongoing Medicaid, foodstamps and unemployment-NOT for an increase. Many states have been hit so hard both by added people in need AND by less taxes coming in due to no big purchases that they are running out of funds. I do know that unemployed folks will be getting a one time $250; guess they can keep their electric on for another month.
