When will I get my packet?

I'm sure this has been posted before - I'm certain that I read a similar thread several months ago - but you know how it is ...you never commit the details to memory until they apply to you!

We booked the FTP through DU back in May, and paid our balance in late July. Our ressies are at WL for Oct. 1-8. When should we expect to receive our reservation packet? I seem to recall someone saying that they're sent as soon as the balance is paid, and someone else said they're sent at the 30-day mark - if that's the case, I should receive it any day now. I'm just eager to know for sure!

Any advice would be appreciated!

We recieved our packet about 30-days out and we paid about 60 days out. I think that was the only time I actually couldn't wait to get the mail!

I made our reservation in May, paid in full in June and received our packet the end of August. Approx. 30 days before we leave on Sept. 27th! We are so excited!

Our reservation is Sept. 20, and we got the package from DU about August 22, so right at about 30 days. We'd paid about a month or so before that.

I paid for our Oct. trip at 46 days out, and we got our packet 12-13 days later. Just a little before 30 days.


We were really excited when it came. My daughter yelled It's official now. You can't change our minds.

I was actually wondering the same thing so I consulted the back of my invoice. We'll be at the CSR 10/16 - 10/23. The invoice states "Documents will be mailed approximately 40 days prior to arrival (after receipt of final payment)." I booked our reservations online at the Disney website.

We booked our FTP first and then added another room ressie to it (separate res number) for my DILs who wanted to tag along...Well that being said DH and DFIL both have the same name we have been getting thier stuff from WDTC all along for the most part (even though we told them to send IL's stuff to them )...Well now, guess who's packet was in the mail today... not our's so tomorrow I or DH will call WDTC and see what's up *after I get the mail of course*

because I got mine twice! We are leaving Sept. 27th and got the first one when we paid in full.
I think you should check up on it.

We never got ours- we booked through DU and she told me they don't mail out confirmation notices. When we arrived at the resort we had to sign a letter and they gave us a ticket to collect our FTP framed print and pin (we got two Donalds- are they all the same?).

We never did get the luggage tags.

You might want to give them a call. DW and I will also be there Oct 1-8 (at Polynesian), we final-payed in late July and got our packet about 10 days ago. 2 Luggage tags, hotel voucher, etc.

I'm starting to get a little nervous myself. I booked FTP through a travel agency. I got the invoice saying that I paid. What exactly is it that we are supposed to get? DIL are still waiting for theirs too.

We leave in 20 days! We haven't received anything and she even said they would not mail out confirmations! I want luggage tags!

We got "The Packet" for our FTP trip a few weeks ago. It comes in a pretty blue folder with stars - it has WDTC, Inc. on it.

Inside are:
- Guest Itinerary. Says who's going, how long, where you're staying. It also lists other 'items' UPH, Luggage Tags, Character Framed Art Keepsake.
- Hotel Voucher
- Insurance, if you got it
- A flyer for the Disney Florist
- A Closing voucher

And, of course, two of the finest luggage tags in the known universe. They are a sensuous dark blue, with a stylized representation of the Castle in purple, yellow, light blue and red. There are pixie dust stars all over it, and at the bottom, the mouse-eared plane symbol of the WDTC. What's more, each tag comes with a rubberized attachment loop. Ah, now this is what Disney Magic is all about!

Should I be able to pull up our reservation on the Disney site or is this only for people that book directly with Disney??

Ok, just out of curosity... who out there has booked with dreams unlimited and DID get their packet?
And if you DID not get a packet, you just showed up at the resort and hoped they had you in the system with no kind of receipt??? This is a bit scary to me.. I booked our FTP through DU, we are about 43 days out, just curious what we will or will not be receiving!

I paid my balance yesterday, the CM told me my packet would be mailed out on 10/3 which is the date payment was due by.


angel-you can only check your reservation online if you booked it online. If you booked through a travel agency your paperwork would go to them. Give your travel agent a call.

We haven't received our packet yet either. We leave for our trip in 6 weeks (yeah!). Our final payment was due last Wednesday (Sep 3rd), however, I made our final payment in early August. Hmmmm .... maybe since our final payment was due Sep 3rd that's the date they sent out our packet?

I'll give it' til next weekend and if I haven't received anything I'll call Disney.
