We purchased a resale in February 2001. At the time, we indicated that we would pay dues in a lump sum at the beginning of the year. We had a reservation for January 2002, arriving on Jan 2, so I arranged payment (on my credit card) during the last week of December. When we checked in on the 2nd, the CM verified that our dues had been paid. I assumed that this was standard practice, since I was aware of the requirement that dues were due Jan 15 or the start of a reservation, whichever is earlier. I have since changed to monthly direct debit from my checking account, so this will not be a problem when we again arrive on the 2nd for our January visit.
