I know someone that is on the ship this week. He told me he had to book a fake date for 11-1-08 and will transfer that booking later because the 2009 sailings still have not been announced. If I hear more info, I will post it here.......

I have seen this phrase a number of times... close (or closer) to home is not the same as "home".....

Well this as you say has been mentioned now a number of times from a quality DCL T/A to reports on board, I read it in the context that after two years in a row going away, to the Med and then West coast, the Magic would be staying'' Closer to home''.

So I take that in the context of its home port Port Canaveral, I would love it to be Europe and the Med its real birth place or home was Italy. But it implies Caribbean, ,maybe extended trips, southern Caribbean, maybe North up to Bermuda, maybe New York but thats further from 'home' it would please a lot of Dissers here though.

I can think of anything else that would be closer to home, closer than the Med or West coast.

The suspense is killing me!!! I'm with the rest of you in hoping Disney makes some type of official announcement soon. Andrew, you have done an amazing job keeping the thread up and current. The mystery, the suspense, I'm hooked and want more....

The way I see it is we can chat about what we want in the future from Disney and they can get ideas. What better compliment for a buisness than a bunch of eager customers anixously waiting the company's next big move so we can sign up!

Tortuga, would fit in with the theory of Southern Caribbean trips say 10/11 nights and also the theme of close to home,

HK might be a bit far! but maybe there on an advance scouting mission for 2010.

Thinking about that more, a tie in with Jamaica Dunn river falls and the Islands like Curacao and Aruba who have given DCL a great welcome in a Southern Caribbean trip would be very nice, That could link in with Tortuga!
