I don’t know that I ever incinerated anything to the point of being inedible. But I have been known to get distracted and let things get anywhere from being maybe slightly overcooked, but not really noticeable, to definitely being on the path to incineration!

The last time I cooked something. I'm known for cooking things past done. I once actually caught some sweet potatoes on fire in the microwave. Just sweet potatoes on a paper towel. Caught fire and burst the door open.

Seriously though. it was the toast this morning. Nothing drastic, just annoying.

Just last week!
I was at our vacation condo and by myself, decided to make spaghetti for dinner. Used the ultra "cheap strainer" and then set it back in the pot ( as I do at home too). But this is an electric stove and I forget to turn it to OFF. I eat my spaghetti and walk back into the kitchen to a SMELL!. The cheap strainer has melted to the pot, the spaghetti is stuck to the bottom of the cheap strainer AND the spaghetti water drippings have BURNT to the bottom of the pan because I kept the heat on.
I was happy the smoke alarm didn't go off.

Actually it has been several years.

Daughter was with me and we were watching a movie. I had a frozen pizza, I don't use the oven because it massively heats the place up and the AC can't cool it down in summer. So I always cut frozen pizza in half and it fit in the toaster oven. She wanted some so I toss half in the toaster oven.

We're sitting enjoying the movie when she looks at me, "So, how about the pizza?" Oops! It was black as black can be, LOL. No problem, there's another half a pizza. So I toss it in.

And... "So, how about the pizza?"

Oops, we paused the movie and ran to pick up a pizza from the shop, LOL.

I kinda burned a grilled cheese a couple weeks ago.. it's OK I like them a little burned.

Few months ago. Was frying chicken cutlets and one slipped out of the tongs and fell back in the oil splashing it on my hand and burning it pretty bad. I was tempted to go to the hospital. Burned practically my whole thumb underside and the area between the thumb and index finger. I immediately rushed to take care of my hand and let the chicken burn in the skillet.
