when was free dining offered this year?

hi all -- what days or weeks was free dining for this year? also when did the codes for that come out -- thanks!

i want to keep it in mind for next year. were doing mickeys christmas party this year -- wanting to do the halloween party next year just wondering if the free dining was during that

It was offered as of @ April 9 for Disney Visa Card holders a few days after that for general public. You had to book by I think June 24. Travel dates were August 26ish until September 22rd.

This year the WDW shorted the amount of days for the Free Dining Offer.
Last Year it was offered for a longer time.
I wonder what well happen next year, if any offer will be made?

For the general public, free dining was offered for check ins around August 26th-Sept 22nd, however free dining was also offered offered to people who happened to be in WDW in Nov and Dec via the Bounce Back Program for free dining that started in early August through check in on Sept 29th. I was one of those, so was able to get free dining Sept 29th-Oct 7th. Consequently, I will have it for the Food & Wine Festival and for the MNSSHP during my trip.

I'll be going back in Dec and am hoping for the Bounce Back Program again. I would rather going during the beginning or the end of the Bounce Back Program as there should be lower crowds than during the main times of Free Dining.

I agree with Aubriee!

We booked on Bounce Back last December. We have free dining Aug. 15-24. It started Aug. 5 for UK visitors and Bounce Back, but DH couldn't get vacation the first week of August. One of our reasons for going back in December is the hope that they will offer Bounce Back again!

It was offered to the uk sometime in August last year, so we are waiting to see if it happens again this year.

If you were staying at a Disney resort in Nov or Dec '06 you could book a trip with an arrival date on or between August 5 and Sept 29, 2007 and get free dining for the length of your stay. You had to stay in a Disney resort, purchase at least a one day MYW ticket, and had to pay a $200.00 deposit. It also had to be booked prior to your checkout. Most of us that booked it were told that free dining was not going to be offered for 2007 to anyone except through the UK or Bounce Back offer. It appears we were misinformed, because last spring Disney then offered free dining for the general public.

I'm happy others were able to take advantage of the free dining, but don't appreciate being lied to as we were. I remember quite a few people posting that they had made a special one or two night trip down there just to book the Bounce Back program. I was already planning a Dec trip so it didn't affect me, but if I had been one of the ones who made a special trip down there I would have been really angry that I had taken off work and wasted money on airfare and a hotel for no reason.
