When Two Holidays Collide! An Oct. 2012 PTR UPDATE 6/30 Disneyland stuff

I want to stay & work for Disney, too! I told DH that is where we're retiring. And we won't have to worry about whether or not our son will come to visit us because he'll want to go to Disney & he'll have to come see us. :lmao:

But, it's good that you got your return flight booked so you can go home & make more Disney money! :thumbsup2

I would love to work and stay at Disney too, hmm, wonder if I'm too old for the College Program?:rolleyes1 That's where DH and I want to retire too, just get a nice rv and live at Fort Wilderness. Hopefully we're teaching DS right and he'll have no problem visiting us there. That's the way I have too look at it, I have to go home and start saving for the next trip to Disney.

*We're hoping to get to the park close to opening time, around 9am or so. There's no rush as we don't plan on doing TSMM.
*Again, I want to make good use of our photopass cd, so we'll get some pictures while everyone and their cousin's dog are getting FPs for TSMM.:lmao:
*Of course, there will be more shopping, real and window.
*We'll check the times for Disney Junior Live and go see it or if it's a little while before the show, we'll go the Art of Animation for some characters.
*Watch the Voyage of the Little Mermaid.
*Get some lunch, and put a notch in my cupcake crawl at Starring Rolls.
*Head back towards Pixar Place and go see One Man's Dream. This is one of our favorite attractions in DHS. DH and I are both big admirers of Walt Disney.
*If the attraction is open by then, we'll go see The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow.
*Get some character pics with Buzz and Woody.
*More shopping.
*Have dinner at

Sci Fi Diner.
We haven't been here since our first trip in 2007. Mickey saw the menu and the new items and wanted to give it a try. I'm not sure how this will work with 3 of us. Will they put us in a car in two rows, can they put a high chair by us in one row, do they still offer the bench seating?:confused3

*We'll probably head out and go to DTD.
*Gotta get some goodies made at Goofy's Candy Co.
*More shopping!
*After that, we'll come it a night.

Up next...Conquering the World! World Showcase and Food and Wine.

Sounds like a nice, relaxing day at DHS! :thumbsup2

I love the new Disney Junior Live show! It's so cute!

I can't wait to see it either. Mickey and I went and saw it years ago when they still had JoJo's Circus and Bear and the Big Blue House, I remember it being really cute. At least I know it's all floor seating, so that won't be a surprise or anything. I think P is going to love it since he's obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

Oh yeah, he's going to be so excited! Reid had a blast at it last year & I'm sure we'll be doing it again this year. It's really cute! And it's fun for the kids - getting to dance & such.

I'm hoping he is excited. He loves music and gets this crazy flapping of the arms dance, just think Goofy doing the hot dog dance after eating a pixie stick.:lmao: We'll see how he does with that. That will determine whether we go see Little Mermaid.

Too cute! I can just picture that! :goodvibes I'm sure he'll do great - it's really such a cute & fun show.

I still haven't done this with Reid, thinking about doing it this year. My son watches all sorts of superhero shows & isn't afraid of any of the villains. He also loves Harry Potter - Voldemort doesn't scare him either. But Ursula? The boy hates her! We're going to watch the Little Mermaid again before go & I'll see how he feels about her during the movie. I don't know if he'll want to do it this year. :sad1:

He hasn't seen many Disney movies yet (he loves watching Adam Sandler movies, though:confused3:lmao:). We watched Beauty and the Beast the other day, and he was actually laughing the first time he saw the beast. He's got an interesting sense of humor.:rotfl: I should try playing the Little Mermaid and see what he thinks of it.

Well, I can't really blame him. Adam Sandler is quite funny!

Who knows....he might think Ursula is downright hilarious! :lmao:

Sounds like an excellent day. Sci Fi can seat three people in one row in the bigger cars. Crap, Xander and I all easily fit in one on the trip just after he turned three. As long as Peyton can sit in a booster, I think that will work for you. They will probably give you the front row too.

I have not even heard of The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow. Is that replacing the Prince Caspian thing? Sounds like I may finally go in there on our next trip.

I do not know when we will finally get to Aulani, but it will not be any time soon. I think that means I get to be more jealous of you!

When we took DS to Sci-Fi, they did put him in a highchair next to us in the car.

I'm not sure when the characters start coming out at the Animation Building, but it might not be until 10 or 10:30. You might have time to do Voyage of the Little Mermaid first, then check out the characters at the Animation Building. :thumbsup2

True, true. Adam Sandler is funny for all ages.

I'm sure he'll probably love Ursula. She is pretty funny, I always got a kick out of her singing "Poor Unfortunate Souls". I thought her saying "My poor little poopsies" was the funniest thing ever!

I actually like Ursula, too. That is one of my favorite Disney songs!

Good to know.I wonder we'll have to request the car or will automatically put us in one?:confused3 It would be pretty cool, last time we were in the middle row so if we don't have people's heads blocking us that would be great.

It is replacing Prince Caspian, never really liked that, preferred the first Narnia anyway. I'm not 100% sure yet what it's about I just know it's supposed to incorporate all 4 of the movies. I'm guessing it's going to be similae to the Narnia walk throughs.

Okay, you can be jealous for now, just let me know when you're going to Aulani so I can have my turn.:rotfl2:

Good to know they offer the high chairs with the cars, just in case we are placed in one of the smaller cars,

Thanks for the info on the character times. We never knew for sure, ww would just head over there at random times and it would be opened.

Thank you for the welcome.

First and most important, Baby P is absolutely beautiful. I just want to hug him and pinch his sweet little cheeks. :goodvibes

Love all the goodies you bought -- very cute.

I am loving all of your plans each day, and you have some great ADR's as well. We've done Mama, Sci Fi, Rose & Crown and Raglan Road -- LOVE them all.

We are trying Chef's for the first time in December with Todd and Nicki (although Mark doesn't know that :lmao::lmao::lmao:).

Good plans for DHS. As far as your cupcake crawl, I'm not a big cupcake person, but I LOVE the chocolate peanut butter cupcake at Starring Rolls. Several of those in your list look pretty good, though!
