When to make reservatins..

OK, I'm thinking my 1st day at disney we're going to hit Epcot and thought i'd do an early dinner at Garden Grill - kids could see characters and we could all eat i hope good food? Can i make the reservations now for 8/28/06? do i need to give my credit card?

Also my next to last day i want to eat at Chef Mickey's 9/02/06 -- same questions as above.

Now what should i do about MGM - the show should i book the dinner show seats or just wing it? we'll be with 2 kids 4 and 6. Can i bring food into the seating area of the show and just take in food to waste time for the kids and we could eat while waiting for the show to start?

any opinions?

Hi Lisa,

You can make ADRs 180 days out, and they are free, with a few exceptions. Garden Grill and Chef Mickey's are free.

We have always just taken food into Fantasmic or bought food at the carts at the back of the theater. We have never booked the dinner package as the reserved seats are way off to one side and we have always gotten better seats by just walkng in for the show. You should get there a little early and then enjoy your snack(dinner) and wait for the show. We think that it is definitely worth the wait.
