Hi..just back from a GREAT vacation at WDW and already looking for July 2004 planning....

When is the best time to make reservations for July 2004? We are DVC members (associates) on my parent's membership and since we used points this year probably won't have any available for next year since other family members will be using them.

We are planning on splitting our stay next year between 5 nights at a DVC 1 bedroom villa (by renting points) and then will make a 4 night reservation at either Contemporary, Coronado or W.Lodge depending on rates, discounts or availability?

We were Disney Club members but that is being discontinued and are also AAA members......is AAA the best discount or should we go through Disney Reservations....any help is appreciated!

First, if I were you I would book my vacation now. It's never to early. Some people book years in advance. AAA offers a discount though I'm not 100% sure what it is. If you book now with that discount and you find a better one down the road its no problem to switch if they have it available.:D

Im sorry I should have said book through disney reservations with your discount. Im not sure of AAA policy and finding better rates after booking.

Personally, I would never attempt to book "through" AAA again. You can make the reservation yourself and still get the AAA discount, which is what we did one trip and saved alot compared to what we were paying through the AAA travel. That is just the experience that I had, so others might think differently.
We are also renting points for our next trip. We found someone and set it up before the 11 month window and he held the points until he could make the reservation.
So, I would say that is never to early!

I just got back from 2 weeks at disney. Knowing I would be as depressed as ever returning to the "real" world, while we were still there I made our ressies for next july. I used the AAA discount as thats the only one thats out for me. When & if there are any discounts down the road, I'll call & try to switch. Its never to early to plan a trip to disneyworld.

I've already booked our July 04 vacation. It's never too soon! When I booked my ressie 2 weeks ago, the WL was already sold out of courtyard view rooms. Better to book early to get the resort you want.

Although I didn't get any discounts, I'm anxiously waiting for codes to apply to my ressie. Also have thought about joining AAA just to get the discount.

I booked my July '04 vacation about 1 month ago, room only with AAA. Do it! Never to early!
