O.K. First let me say that I love the planning process . . . Will be at RPR mid July and thought I would call and make several dinner reservations. Called the guest services number that was suggested on another thread. Friendly chap answering told me that I couldn't make reservations so far in advance and that they only took ressies for that day ??? Is this right? Am I a little too anxious? Thought I would try to get ressies at Mythos and Margaritaville (we already have plans at Tchoup Chop). Thanks for any help/advice.;)

I will be arriving at RPR July 2nd. I called about a week and a half before my arrivial date and made ressies at Mamma Dellas, Margarittiville, Pastamore but I made the ressie for Tchop Tchop about 2 months prior to my arrival date.

I called the guest services number again today and spoke with someone different. Was able to make both reservations, Mythos and Margaritaville. The reservationist person suggested I ask for a table by the water and a window. I'm going to try doing that once we get there. Thanks for all the help.

Do you recommend ressies? I'm not sure when we want to do what. Isn't there priority seating for on-site guests?

We have been all different times of the year and never make reservations. The big exception to that is Emeril's and Tchoup Chop. Our plans change and I dont like to be tied down to a reservation. If you are felxible with eating times you should not have a problem. So many places to choose from there is always someplace you can get in. There is priority seating for hotel guests and it usually comes in handy. Weekends can be busy however depending on the season you are there. Mama Della's is another place its best to have a reservation at.

What about at the Hard Rock Café? I made reservations for Mama Della's but was going to try the PS for hotel guests for the Hard Rock the next day.

Good thing you already have plans for Emeril's! I called today to get a ressie for Tchoup Chop for a Friday night in September, and the only times they had available were for 5:30 or 6 or after 9. Yikes! Needless to say, we took the 9 o'clock ressie.

cp100, how far in advance did you make ressies for Mama Della's? We're interested in eating there too.

Thanks!

I made the reservation last week through the concierge at PBH. Actually, I don't even know the time of my ressie because they were busy when I called so I left a detailed message. They called back while I was out and left a discreet message on my machine stating that they had taken care of me, I was all set, could return the call for the details but that they didn't want to leave more of a message. This was obviously because I had stated it was my son's birthday and they didn't want to spoil the surprise. I then called back, got their machine again and left a message stating I would be away for a week and would return the call when I returned, which was last night. I had requested a prime dinner time, though (between 5 and 6), for July 19.

Good luck!

On-site guests bypass any outside line and/or get "first-available" seating. Just show your hotel key to the host/hostess and they'll gladly get you ready. :)

:D :) Sounds good!

I was able to get reservations at Tchoup Chop for the same day on July 3, which surprised me.

You can also make reservations at Emeril's Restaurants online at www.emerils.com. When you put in what time you are wanting the reservatons, it will then let you know if that is available, or other times close to that time that are also available.

His restaurants tend to book early - sometimes lunch is easier to get reservations for than dinner.
