I'm strongly considering going to WDW and staying at the CBR from October 21st to 29th. How can I find out what's going on then and if there are a lot of conventions or things like that?? Will it be crowded???

I don't know about conventions, but I believe the Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival is going on that time, as well as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. There is a link to Upcoming Events on the main DIS page you can look at for more information.

October crowds aren't bad at all, unless you go Columbus Day weekend, in which case it's crowded then for that time of year.

We always went in October until recently (my dd is too old to take of school now) and always enjoyed the thin crowds and cooler weather.

Enjoy your trip!

My favorite time to go is in October. The weather is great, the crowds are low, and we love Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. The last time we went in October, it was around Columbus Day weekend, and the crowds weren't as bad as I'd heard. Our longest wait was for Peter Pan during the MNSSHP, and I think it was 35 minutes. Everything else was 10 minutes max.

Have fun!
