I'm really stuck help!

We had decided on 29th oct 2015 for nearly 3 weeks
But my kids love water parks and I'm worried that they will be too cold to swim and only one park will b open
But I wanted to do Halloween at cabins fw
So should we go earlier in oct or stick to dates
We plan 10 nights cabins 10 nights villa
Thanks

We have been looking at those dates for this yr, to be honest I would go start of October so you can enjoy both water parks as they are so different!
We love the start of October for the Halloween decs, as Halloween is my favourite holiday! But I also really like to swim so if doing 3 wks I wouldn't go at the end that's just me! :)

Thanks just looked at begin oct and prices of flights for this yr not to bad so hopefully it will b ok

Early to mid October can be busy now! When we first went it was a reasonably quiet time, now a lot of US schools have switched to a ballanced school year with either one or two weeks off in October. Add that to the floating holiday of Columbus day which losts of people take as a long weekend or even a week and you have more biz than you would expect.

Later October can be cool, we have had it down to around 9 or 10 celcius in the early morning, cool enough to want a fleece and as high as 29 at midday in the warmer bits. You might be better trying for the end of September, if you can, but it is usualy still quite humid then. That was when we first went and it was realy quiet, no crowds at all, but thundery showers every afternoon.

that was also a concern for us. we've tried a few options
now we found that a good compromise was 2 weeks in october, one week in november.
first week (roughly 3rd week of october) has both Waterparks opened. and also has "less crowded" MNSSHPs, weather's usually fine
First week of november still has some opportunities for the second waterpark and if you can stretch it a bit onto the second week of november you get a chance to catch a MVMCP and Osborne lights, hence having both MNSSHP and MVMCP in the same trip.

If it were for me I wouldn't go sooner than the 15th or 20th of october, or I would completely change for september.

define your priorities. If waterparks are very important, go september. If parties are a must do, go late october through early november.

If you want a compromise between waterparks and special events, then maybe go a bit sooner than the 29th.
if your want to do halloween at FW and have 10 days there, you can arrive around the 22nd and have halloween as a highlight of your FW stay. You'd have roughly 5 days to go to Typhoon Lagoon before it closes for the winter.

I would check this link out. Of course, it doesn't show much difference in temperatures from beginning to end. I grew up in Florida and honestly, it was warm way up into December. That doesn't mean it will be a frigid time to go but if the average is 82 F, that is not bad to go to the water parks. Certainly, going at the beginning of Oct would be safer. We normally travel the last week of September when free dining is offered (I would check this option out because it will save you huge amounts of money!! and normally it runs in Sept). The temperature is always quite warm. Normally mid to high 80's. Truly it is perfect because night is still warm and the girls can swim to their hearts content. I would say a week or two later is not going to make a huge difference. But again, the end of October most likely would be warm but with Florida getting into fall, you never know--its a bit Schizophrenic!

Regarding the crowds. They have increased every year during this time because of the increased offers for free dining but compared to summer, it is a cake walk!! I would say the line are more like 20 -30 minute waits versus 2 hours during peak season. SO while it is still relatively crowded, it is nothing like the high times. I would also warn you that the Epcot Food and Wine festival starts the last friday in September and runs through most of October I think. That means that there are a lot more people at Epcot and possibly int he parks due to that. It is a great festival though and my husband is thoroughly looking forward to snacking his way through all of the country snack kiosks! Just something to consider.

So as a former Floridian and annual end of September traveler to Disney, I think that your plan to back it up a bit may make sense but you need to look at all of the factors. If you could get free dining, and go the last week in Septmeber, you will be glad you did. It saves our family about $1000 and we eat like pigs!! The crowds are still reltaively low too because American schools start by mid August for the most part and who pulls their kids out a month after school begins? WE DO!!!:rotfl2: Good luck in planning
