DH and I had dated for 6 months when we went to WDW for a week last year... after we spent a whole week in tight quarters without fighting, we decided it was okay to get married.

We got married in July, but I won't finish my B.A. 'til December. We were thinking about going on our honeymoon next fall. Of course, we're spending it with Mickey!

When would be the least crowded time to go? Also, what moderate resort would be best? We stayed at POFQ last time, and loved it, but we wanna try something different :)

Sorry so long... Thanks!

Hi, well we went on our honeymoon as well for 2 weeks. Here's the deal, avoid the super crowded times, and hot times. Go anytime between mid-September and Early to mid December. Or January to mid February.

About the moderate resorts.

Personally I found the Caribbean Beach Resort to be great! Why?

1) The rooms are the largest of any resort I believe.
2) The tropical scenery in and out of the rooms is very very nice. There is steel drum music played all over the grounds as well.

3) Lots of romantic spots, including on the islande they have.

4) I love fireworks and this is a great resort to see them. You can go sit on the beach at night and EASILY SEE AND HEAR Illuminations.

5) You are very close to MGM and Epcot. Close enough to Epcot where in the mornings before things got loud, we could hear Epcot's park music.

We were thoroughly impressed with CBR.

Mid to Late September is a great time to go crowd wise. It is the height of hurricane season so it's a little risky. October/Mid November is still a good time to go, but the Food and Wine Festival is going on at the World Showcase and the MNSSHP is going on at the Magic Kingdom. Crowds are still very, very manageable, but higher than they used to be. Weather is still warm so pools and waterparks are still a fun diversion.

January and early February are very uncrowded. Weather is iffy. Some days are warm...70's. Others can be cool...50's. Pools and waterparks really aren't crowded even on the warmer days. Avoid MLK weekend and check out www.varsity.com to find out when cheerleading competitions are in Jan/Feb.

POFQ is the smallest mod so the easiest to get around. CBR and CSR are quite large. I have stayed at CBR and loved it, but that's my personal opinion. Everyone has their own likes/preferences. I wouldn't mind checking out PO Riverside and the mansion area.
