When to go to Goofys Kitchen?

We will be at DL from Thanksgiving until the 2nd of December. On one of these nights we want to go to Goofys Kitchen for dinner for a belated birthday dinner for my DD. We will be taking 12 girls aged 17 and 18 years, 10 of them have never been to DL or a character meal before. Anyone have a suggestion what night we should go, is it best to go on a friday, saturday or sunday night when DL is open late or on a midweek night when it may be quieter. Also to get maximum character interaction are we better of going later in the evening after most of the little kids have left? I'd love some help with this please.

If you're looking for less crowds, I might skip Friday and Saturday since it'll still be pretty crowded from the holiday. We went on Sunday after Thanksgiving last year and it was really nice. Not crazy hectic, but not completely dead either. You'd probably be even better off sometime during the week (26th - 29th)...but know that the parks close at 8, so there may be more of a crowd later in the evening...though I'm not certain. Have a wonderful time!!

Right at 5:00 when they open. We have gotten fabulous service and interaction like this. Plus the food is very fresh.

I'm confused about something. Must you be in DLR to get into Goofy's Kitchen? Meaning can I make a reservation and go to GK on the day of my arrival when I wasn't planning to go to Disneyland park?

You sure can, it is not in the park..but we always go into the park even if for only a couple of hours and go first thing to dinner if you can..
