When To Go? - Help Me Decide

Hey everyone

I am having trouble making decisions today

I am thinking about a little solo trip to DLP next year to tide me over until me and DH hit WDW in May 2011

Looking at the 40% off dates and train fares etc the best options seem to be either Feb 9th or March 16th

Staying for two nights at the Disneyland Hotel

What would you do? neither dates seem to clash with any school holidays so I am hoping crowds would be OK

Feb would be nice as it's not too long to wait after Christmas but I guess there is a slim chance of slightly better weather and perhaps longer park hours in March?

Hi Linda,

The 17th of March is St. Patrick's Day and I know DLP do something to celebrate it although I've never been there at the time. Maybe somebody else who's been to DLP at that time of year could let you know what happens apart from Mickey and Minnie dressing in green!!

There are mid-term (half term) breaks in February but here in Ireland they're towards the end of Feb so that shouldn't affect you.

early Feb looks OK for French and UK school holidays so I don't think that will be a problem
I am edging towards Feb as the crowds may be bigger in March if they do something for St Patricks

Hi I know lots of people heading over for St Patrick's day from Ireland and as previous poster said Irish mid term is 21 - 26 February so no one travelling from here!

early feb will be very cold but very quiet

march is a bit of a mixed bag weather wise it is also busier. they do celebrate st patricks day, they have irish dancers, bands, irish mickey and minnie and fireworks at the end of the day
