when is the right time to get a facial or do any kind of beauty stuff for the wedding? i heard that a facial should be done i think a week before the wedding and any kind of hair treatment as well. i just want to make sure to prevent a distaster. thanks guys!

I'm having mine done before I leave the UK for WDW as this way my face will be prepared for the sun. But usually they do say have the facial a week before so that your skin settles down I sometimes do get a little outbreak after a facial.

If you want to have something relaxing before the wedding book in for a massage the day/night before.

I have heard you shouldn't get a massage the day of the wedding. Not sure why maybe the oils they use affecting your dress.

I have my facial scheduled for one week before my wedding day. I get them monthly and it's put my skin in great condition.

thanks for the tips everyone. you're all very helpful

One reason suggested for avoiding a massage on the day of is because it "works" your muscles and can make you sore and definitely makes you more thirsty . . .more in need of water. You can request that they not use oils if you're worried about it staining your dress (if you are considering this) also they could just do a "chair massage" where it's just your neck and shoulders and you are dressed for this, might be nice for calming you down a bit.

Any kind of mud-wrapping or facials should ideally be done a week before they say because of breakouts. I chose to have mine the day before because I wanted my skin to be extra glowing. I did have a small breakout but it was easily covered by concealer.

I also choose to have my hair dyed about 2 days before the ceremony because I like the color when it is "fresh". I had been going to the same person for 12 months prior and had been doing the same type of "look" so I was confident in her ability to make me look great (which she did).
