Coming to Disney with four little girls. We've been to Disney a lot, but never experienced BBB. With it being one little girl's 4th birthday weekend, I'm thinking we will do BBB. Our first park day is Friday (December 6th) and last is Sunday. Here are our two options:

Option 1: MK Friday, Dec. 6. AM EMH. We have lunch at the Plaza @ 11:05, followed by BBB at 12:45. We'd like to catch the Festival of Fantasy Parade at 2PM. We don't stay at the parks late - I think we'll be out of there by 5 PM. With BBB not being until 12:45, what would be a memorable activity for after the parade? Enchanted Tales with Belle? Meeting a princess or two? Dumbo or the Carosel? Not staying late, we'll have limited time for play while being all dressed up!

or...

Option 2: MK Sunday, Dec. 8. This is her actual birthday. We have BBB reserved at 10:30 AM, followed by lunch at Be Our Guest (around noon, I can't remember and the website is not cooperating with my computer at all lately!! Am I alone in this?!). We've eaten at Be Our Guest before. Obviously we will have more time after getting hair done for the parks, but, I'm not sure how I feel about waiting until the 3rd day for MK.

I'll cancel the reservations for the date we do not plan to go. The other day we are going to Epcot. Saturday we will attempt HS. I think I lean toward Option 1 because I like starting a trip at MK, but never doing BBB, I'm not sure if the timing is great. I couldn't get an earlier reservation for four children.

Thanks for your help!

I'm not exactly very good with planning and such, but I think if you guys aren't planning on going anywhere that day, I would get a reservation during a port day while everyone else is gone (or a lot of them are gone). I'm not sure if it's open around that time but if it is I would highly suggest that.

Do you mean a party day? Both of these days are party days :). I'm not sure what you mean by when everyone else is gone?

I also love to start a trip with an MK day but I would definitely keep checking for a cancellation to try to snag an earlier BBB appt on either of your options - but that is based on the fact that my DD would want to spend more of the day in her BBB makeover. I think a lot of fuss is made over girls done up at BBB by the CMs whilst in the parks and at Disney Springs, and my DD loved this.

If your little girls will just be happy with the experience, then don't worry so much about the later time on your Fri MK day. They will get barrettes and makeup and nail polish (if this is still included in the packages - it's been a while) and may have fun using these during the remainder of your days in the parks. They will have less time if you don't get these things until Sunday.

For as what to do after their appt, maybe think about what kinds of photos you would like to take of them in their finery? Meeting the princesses? Spots around the castle? For sure meeting characters will get your girls lots of attention. Not sure of the afternoon wait times but Enchanted Tales is a good option too. Would you be able to eat an early dinner in the park if an ADR came available? It is very likely that a spot for any meal, at any restaurant in the park will become available between now at Dec. I have found that it is possible to completely change around ADRs and even FPs in the week before a trip. BBB might be a little harder but I'd keep trying!

One thing to keep in mind is that you cannot do any swimming or heavy water rides after bbb until you are ready to be done with the bbb look. It's also hard to shower without messing it up.

I took my two granddaughters 4 and 9 to BBB in MK. I was able to get an early 9 am reservation. After the appointment we went on a few rides and had lunch at the Castle. The girls were so happy that the Princesses made a big fuss over their attire and make up. We left MK not long after the lunch. Since it was June and quite hot, the makeup and costumes came off and they went into the pool for the afternoon. For us, it was a great experience for them but really didn’t last to the evening.

My only concern with Option 1 is you may be cutting it quite close to get a good spot for the parade. With Option 3, you have a lot of breathing room with your schedule. If you can't get earlier appointments, would you consider spending your day in MK and then doing later BBB appointments at either GF or DS instead? Or even starting at GF BBB and then going to MK for the day if you can get earlier appointments at GF?

Thanks so much for the ideas! I'm going to see if I can move the appointments earlier for the first day, otherwise, I'll leave as is. Thank you again.
