When To Cruise In Spring?

We've cruised twice now, both times in Feb, and the weather wasn't great. We're thinking spring this time around and we'd like to avoid all school vacations if possible. Any recommendations on dates, times of the month to sail would be greatly appreciated.

That's surprising as February is usually a good time to cruise.

At any rate, try later in Feb or the very beginning of March. Keep in mind that anytime school is out is a busy time for Disney - parks or cruise. Mid-February tends to be school vacation week in the Northeast. Mid-March tends to be college spring vacation.

We sailed this past April 15 - 23. Weather was great. Seas were relatively calm. Mostly sunny but not hot. Schools were not on vacation, but I still saw a lot of kids. I don't know how this would compare with school vacation time.

Spring break in far north is last week of March and first week of April this year.

Thanks everyone! I should've been clearer with first post. The weather on the cruise was amazing. Both times on the Fantasy. Looking to try another ship this time. It was the Orlando weather that wasn't great.

Spring breaks usually run from beginning of March thru 2 weeks after whenever Easter falls...it really varies from state to state. Next year ours here next to Disney is the 2nd week of March. Hope this helps!
