We are at Disney right now, and took a tour of DVC yesterday. We have been coming to Disney 1-2 times a year for the past 8 years, so joining DVC is clearly something we want to do.

They offered a couple incentive to buy while here (160 2007 points, 100 referral points and a credit on the purchase price), and then extended it until the end of this month. Does anyone know if, say, a couple months from now, they will let us buy in with the same offer or if we will actually lose the incentives? Or might there be an advantage to waiting a while?

We are going to join, but I am still on the fence as to whether we want to do it now or a little down the road.

The friends and family promo usually starts in the fall and ends March 3 or 8. When the promo will start we don't know. There is going to be a price increase in March too.

In the past they have been pretty strict about honoring the offer made for 3 days. There have been many reports about the incentives being denied to those waiting longer. If you are planning to wait a couple of months, I'd expect that the current incentives will be gine by then and you will not have that on the table.

The current price of $104 has been in place since March, 2007. That price was a $3 increase over the previous pricing.

Well, with GCV on the horizon for the fall, I definitely can see why they would want to go up a few $. This is a great list! Thank you. Katherine

Thanks for the replies. So, it sounds like we should make the move now.

When to buy?

Reminds me of the question "When's the best time to plant a tree?"
answer: "20 years ago!"

and the follow up question: "When's the second best time to plant a tree?"
Answer: "Today!

I think you are smart to evaluate... and now, thanks to different Disney marketing programs, it also seems you must evaluate ...
Where to buy!

Good Luck! You'll enjoy the club!!!
