We've decided on our hotel (RPR) and dates (Oct '09), any advantage or disadvantage if we book now?

Not that I know of...book now, keep watching the rates, and if they go down then call and they'll adjust the price. I've already done that 2x in about 6 weeks for my first trip in March '09!

(that being said, if EVERYbody books now, then there'd be no reaso for them to lower the prices later, so I guess you could argue that booking now would decrease the chance of a discount later! :)

But, budget the price as it stands today, and if it HAPPENS to go down, then consider it a bonus.

i always book in january for my october stay at the loews hotels at universal.

i book with the AAA rate and then modify if the super saver rate comes out, or if the AAA rate drops.

i have the AP also and have used it before also.

I'm at Universal for HHN.
i book early to know i'm set for rooming.

The hotels don't usually book up for the weekends until sometime in september for some october dates.

Thanks! How can I get the AAA rate? I've always used a T/A who watched the rates and discounts for me, however, I'm on my own this time.
